r377ParticipantBoth will be similar pros. Good teammates, good bball IQ without being superstars. Frank has a little bit more range and better handle. Both are decent post players, average rebounders and both are not great defenders. They could both be borderline starters in the NBA…
Who do you think we be the better pro and why ?

CU.LIONSParticipantLots will depend on who their teammates are. If Kaminsky goes to a team like the Rockets, I think he will excel. Or even a team like GS. I’ll wait to see what team drafts him before making that decision.

MopgrassParticipantZeller has a lot more hops and a lot more speed. Kaminsky is a better shooter. I think Zeller has more upside, but he hasn’t done enough with the time he’s been given. He needs more bulk, but still has a lot more defensive promise than Kaminsky.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantHard to say who will have the better future right now. Not very similar players in terms of skill set. Zeller looks much more confident shooting the ball this year and has been pretty consistent out to 18 feet but lacks kaminskys range. Kaminsky also appears to have a more advanced post game right now, although I have some doubts about how well he’ll be able to utilize it at the next level due to his lack of lower body strength. Overall, I’d say kaminsky is just clearly a better offensive player right now, although I’ve been impressed with Zellers development this year.
Defensively, Zeller has the potential to be much better than kaminsky. Although he may not have the length and instincts to be a great shot blocker, he is a great athlete and moves very well for a player his size. He has a solid foundation and should be an excellent rebounder. On the other hand, I think kaminski might always struggle on that end due to physical limitations.
A lot just depends on fit. In the right system, kaminski could thrive as a multi-demonsional big. I think he’s more than just a stretch four. You’d have to play him with enough solid defenders to mask his deficiencies on that end. Zeller, on the other hand seems like he should have a solid career as a blue collar guy, although he’s somewhat limited offensively and I couldn’t really see him ever scoring over 10-12 ppg.

King CaluchaParticipantI agree.
However Zeller got drafted high after he got a huge boost. His times at the combine were elite and he had a couple of solid shooting workouts. I don’t think that’s going to happen to Kaminsky.

npaulsen2ParticipantWhy is everyone hating on Frank Kaminsky’s defense? Obviously Wisconsin’s system makes him look a little better than he actually is, but I think he’s still a very solid defender

B-ball fanParticipantKaminsky is more like Kelly Olynyk. He is not an athlete like Zeller is, but he could become a better player due to his supreme skill level. If Kaminsky can bulk up and play Center in the NBA, he could be a great player. He has very few holes in his offensive game.

thekaminskyParticipantkaminsky will be a better pro, he projects good in the nba..I think alot of coaches would like to have him..I think some of you are under estimating his shooting, he is one of the best in the country regardless of position..I could see him in a Bulls jersey

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantIdk they’re already pretty loaded in the frontcourt with gasol, noah, Gibson and mirotic. Seems more likely bulls would look for backcourt help.

thekaminskyParticipantYea I know how deep they are but he seems like a bulls type player and he probably wont fall to them anyways, you can also say theyre deep at guard if you wanted to but fact is they draft who they want

r377ParticipantWashington or Milwaukee could draft Frank. He could learn from Gortat or Zaza. At the moment I have him going to Milwaukee (home town) at 17.

PlatypusParticipantIt depends on where Kaminsky goes, until we know where he goes then we will know who he’ll be paired with and who (coach) will develop him. Once we know where he is, we know who he’ll be paired with how many minutes he may get and what veterans will be there to help him grow off the court.
I would like to see him with the Wizards. He could stretch the floor for Wall and learn what it takes to be a front court player in Gorat or Nene.
Another team where he could fit well but they dont have a pick is the Pelicans. He could learn how to play offense in the league by Ryan Anderson and he would fit well next to Anthony Davis
