not even commenting about dwill, but i respect jerry sloan as much as any coach i have ever seen. When he lost in the playoffs, it was becasue the other team was better not becasue they were otu coached or didnt compete hard. I just hope if sloan is done he can feel like left on his own and not becasue he was forced out becasue that would be a shame.

Why am I happy the Jazz are losing?

Jerry Sloan was the best coach ever. He never won a championship, but that doesn’t even matter to me. He was the most honest, honorable, selfless coach in the NBA. He never took any credit, but was always willing to accept blame. He worked hard to keep his players in line, but always respected them. Here’s a guy who in his 50s (while others at that age are gardening, watching TV, and steadily going senile) took off his jacket in the middle of a game and challenged Dennis Rodman to a fist fight. As a player he was tough as nails. Despite only standing 6’5" he was a hell of a rebounder and one fiesty defender.

Deron Williams is trash and I want him off the Jazz so I can love my team again.

Maybe think about things this way. We just lost a hall of fame coach. It was gonna happen next year even if he didnt retire now. He had many arguements over the years with players. It happens. Both Williams and Sloan are firey guys. I believe Tyrone Corbin deserves a chance. He learned alot for Jerry over the years. Not to say the can, or ever will replace him. But on the positve side he does bring in some new blood and some engery that Jerry himself admitted to losing over the years. Memo Okur has been out all year basically. A.K., Bell, and price have been out the last 3 games. The Jazz have 4 players off the bench. 2 are centers, one a rookie pf, and one is Earl Watson. Deron Williams is oviously playing hurt. C.J. Miles has been getting run under Corbin, partly because of injuries, but he’s produced averaging 19ppg. Also Jefferson has been beasting. Things will get better in Utah.

CodySLC, you really believe it was his time?  Mid way through the season was his time?

I don’t know about you, but when I think Jerry Sloan, I think CLASS.  And as one of the classiest coaches, I doubt he would EVER leave his team hanging mid way through the season.

Let’s stop kidding ourselves here… Jerry Sloan left because he was tired of dealing with Deron Williams and he felt the organization took Williams’ side over his.

We all know that’s the truth. Let’s just acknowledge it.

I don’t wanna acknowledge it, because then I have to find a new favorite team. And who has that kind of time?
