I like the Cavs. I wanted them to be a better team this year. Anthony Parker and Anderson Varejao are some favorites of mine.
Go, go Cavs!

butidonthavemoneyIs it just me, or do the Cavs switch too much on defense?
Nice block, JJ!

I May Be WrongParticipantJJ Hickson has been on fire last 5-10 games? I think he’s averaging 22 and 12 last 5 games! He started the season good, then went in a huge slump, but now he’s killing it.

butidonthavemoneyThe Cavs announcers are so excited, their voices are squeaking.
It’s really cute and kind of sad at the same time. Like watching orphans eat on Thanksgiving.

IndianaBasketballParticipantNah… Not really. The Cavs played well. Who should be ashamed is that ref who didn’t call over the back on JJ Hickson. That’s just plain terrible.

KayjayParticipantIf he ain’t dunking, he ain’t comfortable. He’ll have to develop that jumper like Amare if he wants to survive. Still, good perfomance from Griffin. Just a little too much Cav’s for the rest of the Clips though.

IndianaBasketballParticipantGriffin will never have a problem "surviving" in the league. He’s active on the offensive glass and around the basket, so he’ll always eat. Didn’t he have like 32 points tonight? I don’t think all of those buckets were dunks.
And his jumpshot is coming along nicely. He just needs to keep working on his moves in the low post. Teams have started trying to take away where he loves to post up on the block, so he has to adapt and get better on the other block. He needs to improve his left hand. He has to learn to be aggressive even when being double/triple teamed.
Hickson did a good job tonight though.

KayjayParticipantYou can’t survive on nothing but just dunks unless your a center. You need to have some sort of steady jumper. By surviving I meant being able to do more than just dunk the ball. I believe those are what we call one-trick pony’s. Being active on the glass is lovely. But you always want to expand your game even further.

IF you think Blake Griffin is just a dunk. you’ve been watching sportscenter highlights more than the actual games.
@Knicksboy1
Griffin is a TERRIBLE defender.

KayjayParticipantNo one is denying that, as for the defensive end, he may get it, he may not eventually through the years. One thing is for sure, in order to play good defense, you have to be commited to it. And it seems Griffin has made many commitments, defense should be no different.

IndianaBasketballParticipantGriffin has regressed defensively.
He’s not focused at that end and honestly doesn’t even try hard. JJ Hickson had four blocks tonight based on effort. Griffin could get those same weakside blocks, but doesn’t waste his energy doing it. He’d rather save his energy for offense and rebounding.
I’m a huge Griffin supporter, but he’s starting to upset me on defense. Other than moving his feet well and drawing a charge every now and then, he’s terrible at defending.

Stanford hoops1The Clippers should be ashamed….actually i take that back they know they are bad so this was just another lose for them. now two games behind last seasons record at this point. Some one mentioned playoffs for the clippers

SteroidParticipantI’m sick of hearing people talk so much shit about Griffin about how he will only be a dunker, has no moves, etc.. This is his first year actually playing in the NBA! Cut the guy some slack. No great player came into the league fully developed. He can’t develop all his skills in one season of play. He has the worth ethic to be great, and a summer olympics/world championship with coach K would step up his defense a notch. He already has the motor to be a great defender. He just needs the right coaching.

Counting StarsParticipantIf there is a team in the NBA that would snap the Cavs losing streak it would the Clippers. Not that they’re the worst team – crap just happens to this franchise.
