It is very quiet when this is major news!

    http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba–clippers–antawn-jamison-reach-one-year-deal-221832146.html

Signed a one year deal for the veteran minimum. Very low risk signing. (Compared to the other alternative being discussed ie Mr Kardashian)

The Clippers rotation is pretty deep now. I expect a 1 or 2 seed from them in the West this year

    PG Chris Paul/Darren Collison
    SG JJ Redick/Jamal Crawford/Reggie Bullock
    SF Jared Dudley/Matt Barnes
    PF Blake Griffin/Antawn Jamison/Byron Mullens
    C DeAndre Jordan/Ryan Hollins

Glad they finally got their backup PF position filled. Jamison still something left in his tank and can space the floor but I was hoping they’d go after some toughness in someone like Ivan Johnson or even Lou Amunson. Obviously Jamison is much more skilled and experienced than those two though.

They could go and sign an MMA fighter if they wanted toughness, they need good basketball players and Jamison is a wayyyy better option than those two you mentioned, especially since Griffin and Jordan can’t really space the floor.

Love the addition. An improvement over Odom on the court and in the locker room. The Clippers now have a roster that can spread the floor and give Blake Griffin room to operate more and show what he’s been doing in the offseason. CP3 is the best PG in the game, but he could do but so much. They only go as far as Blake takes them.

Good. This is exactly the type of player who they need going head to head with Blake everyday. Jamison has been is some bad spots in the NBA. From swallowing his pride and coming off the bench for the Mavs when he was in his prime, the whole gun incident in WAS, having his game scrutinized and ripped apart when he didn’t become the much awaited sidekick to LeBron, Jamison has always stayed humble and mature about things. He did all these and still remained productive throughout the years even though he was never particularly dominant at any one thing. Great signing, Blake will learn a lot (Fix that jump shot Blake!)

Welp, that makes the Clippers even more reliant on DeAndre Jordan during the playoffs. Their lack of big men that can defend will either haunt them sooner or later or they might just have a freakish enough offense to get by, but the former seems more likely.

Glad Jamison’s on a contender once again though. He’s been productive for too long not to have a shot at a title.

Jamison is a ok move. I don’t believe he has much left on the defensive end or offensively other then some solid shooting from outside. I actually think he’ll likely ride the bench like Al Harrington.

His offense is fine and still solid. But he challenged Nash for worst defender on the lakers. The lakers actually told him from the moment the season ended they weren’t interested in bringing him back. But for a team with solid defense, then he could certiay help at the other end.

I hope he gets to 20k points this year. He’s fairly close
