I think we all know Utah loves Brandon Knight (understandable)…so heres what the Cavs should do…

With the #1 pick overall, The Cleveland Cavs should select Derrick Williams…

I dont care what anyone says, he is the most NBA ready guy. He proved it time and time again. Not only during the regular season, but when it mattered most in the NCAA tourny. And then again wowing the scouts and GMs in his workouts. Kyrie is the first prospect to not compete in ANY workouts! Even LeBron took part in the walk-through. He came in over 10% body fat, played in limited action, and i’m hearing he has to wear a protective boot/brace on his ankle for the rest of his career?!?! Plus, im sorry but i really dont trust Dukies in the pros…

That leaves Kahn with no choice BUT to take Iriving (in which he’d prob end up trading), and then Utah gets their guy anyway.

Then Cleveland should trade their #4 pick to the Spurs for Tony Parker…call me crazy but Parker/DWilliams/JJ Hickson could make a run at the 8 seed and would be WAY better than the squad they have now.

This would leave the Spurs taking Kanter to pair with Tim Duncan. Kanter is a guy I am really high on and think it would be pretty cool to see him and Duncan play as the new Twin Towers.

8th seed isn’t the goal.  Eventual contention is.  Parker is a bad idea as by the time contention comes, his speed game will be long gone.

As a Cavs fan that is something I would not want to do. Why would we try to get another vet pg with a big contract when we already have BD? If we did get the 8th seed that’s the worst case scenario. Reason why is then were stuck in the 14-20 range in the draft for the next couple of years. Im just wishing that the Cavs pick Irving 1 ang get a big ( Kanter or Jonas). Then next year get a nice SG or SF in the stacked 2012.

Tony Parker 29 – Kyrie Irving 19…….Kyrie Irving is a no-brainer BTW Davis is 32 who is currently the starter.

obviously they aren’t shooting for the 8th seed…but to go from worst team to playoffs is a big deal…

you act like Tony Parker is old or something (steve nash, chauncey billups, jason kidd)

buckeye fan you are very right! the only way i would do it if i’m Cleveland is if the Spurs take on B-Diddys contract somehow…

it was just a scenario i thought of for Cleveland to get the real #1 pick

After signing the contract with Tony Parker last year, no rebuilding team in their right minds should consider trading anything valuable for Tony Parker (maybe for equally "bad" contract).

Tony Parker is approaching 30 with a lot of mileages on his legs, he probably would go down hill before his current deal would end.

It’s laughable that there are rumors suggesting the Spurs would want someone to take on Richard Jefferson along with Tony Parker.  Richard Jefferson is a deadweight.  There shouldn’t be a GM in his right mind taking on Jefferson’s contract without sending back an equally bad contract back to the Spurs.

If any GMs would trade value for Tony Parker or taking on Richard Jefferson, he should be fired.

     I agree that RJeff’s contract is un-tradable…

but Tony Parker still has a lot of ball left. He did lead a team to 61 wins last year…hes 29, but look at the older point guards puttin in work nowadays…

theres a reason Sacramento and Toronto may want him.
