mcbaileyParticipantI don’t watch Washington games, so I don’t know: is John Wall really playing as bad as it sounds?

JoeWolf1Lucas was a really clutch guy in college, and someone who could put up points in a hurry. He’s improved since he’s been playing professional basketball, but the Bulls must have seen something in him because he played a little for them last year, but they brought him back this season and I don’t care how bad Washington is, 25 8 and 8 with only 2 TO’s is a good game. He was chuckin’ it, but sometimes you need that fearless reserve when you’re two guys short because of injury.

EntropyParticipant^ when you have several better offensive players on the team you are not supposed to take 28 shots (unless they are good shots ofcourse). Luckily for the team this didn’t hurt them, if they had lost a lot of the blame would have went on him.

JoeWolf1I’m sure if it were better team it would have been a different story, it kind of had the vibe of a mid April game where your rookies that have been riding the bench all year are getting more time and trying to show off what they could do.
Lucas was chucking, for sure, but if Rose is still out vs Boston on Friday I doubt you’ll see him taking 28 shots.

JNixonParticipantGoes to show you that guys in the NBA can put up numbers if they are given a chance. Everybody in the league can put up numbers if they have a long leash, for the most part. Not to take anything away from Lucas that is a monster game for sure.

JoeWolf1I read an interesting article on ESPN/Chicago. It was saying how Thibs wanted to keep the same game plan, and let Lucas take on the majority of the offense like Rose does and let defense win the games. He had a total green light, when asked who would back up Lucas before the game Thibs replied "Lucas".
Everyone on the bench had a feeling he’d get 20 points, but everyone was kind of smiling at the 28 shots. It also probably would have been a little different story if Luol Deng wasn’t struggling with his shot last night also.
It’s on the Bulls blog on epsn.com chicago if anyone want’s the whole article, my computer isn’t letting me post a link right now.
