jwostrumParticipantWhy is this kid not being considered for #1 in 2015? hes big, long, has great quickness for a player his size. he seems to be very alert defensively and has good footwork and a good jumper. if I were to pick a player to go number 1 in the 2016 draft now before a lot of 16 guys reclassify, I would pick chase jeter. also he is a year young for his grade. can you guys fill me in on why he’s not being atleast considered for the number 1 player in his class?

ncballerHave you seen him play before? Outside of mixtapes. He really isn’t that good. I could see him busting in college. He is one of those "dominates lower competition, looks average to below average against good competition" guys. Reminds me a lot of Ty Walker who played at Wake Forest.

McDunkinHe just doesn’t have the muscle to get close to the rim consistently and even though he has the athleticism and size to be a shot blocker can’t handle physical bigs(Alexander destroyed him and Zimmerman) he is a pretty good passer though.
Should have a nice college career but might take a few years to be nba ready even if it is just as a role player.
P.s. He and Stephen Zimmerman must be the boniest big man duo I’ve seen in years neither has seemed to have gained a pound since they arrived on the scene.

jwostrumParticipantif you don’t include guys from the 2016 class that might reclassify, this is not the strongest of years. there are only a few guys that really stand out to me as being highy developed from a skill standpoint and that have a true position. Ben Simmons, Jaylen Brown, and Ivan Rabb. To me Jeter could be a strong darkhorse candidate. Especially if when he gets to college and gets in a real weight training routine.
