Anton123ParticipantWhy does everyone have Budinger going s low, he is a great shooter and a great athlete, if he improves his defence and handling he would be a smaller and more athletic Dirk Nowitzki

ucantcheckmejdj3Participantsoft. no defense. will be a decent pickup towards the end of the 1st round for a team who needs a shooter.

Tha King2121ParticipantYou have to respect the good scorers/shooters.
Like last year CDR was a first round pick on evey mock,
but dropped to the early 2nd round………but for his rookie
season he did great. This might just happen to CBud

rtbtParticipantHey Anton, what does Chase Budinger have in common with Dirk N?
One is a slow moving Power Forward who’s proven that he’s a great NBA player.
The other is unproven, a great leaper/athlete, and he plays the GUARD position.
Why in the world would you compare Chase Budinger with Dirk Nowitzki? What do they have in common?

Anton123ParticipantWell despite being athletic Budinger like Nowitzki almost always depends on his shot not dunks and layups + Being athletic Budinger is not a great ball handler so he also doesn’t move very fast on court + Nowitzki was also thought to be just a back up player + he is white and blond)

rtbtParticipantucantcheckmejdj3, you are so right. It’s nothing more than racial stereotyping, comparing white players only with other white guys [or black guys only with other black players].
There are a number of 6 ft. 5, 6 ft 6 inch leapers in the NBA who play the guard/small forward position who have games very similar to Budinger. None of them, and neither does Chase Budinger, have anything in common with a slow moving power forward named Dirk Nowitzki.

gatorheelsParticipantBudinger simply plays scared. He plays to passive, just settling for jumpshots and playing awful defense. I wouldn’t be surprised if he fell to the 2nd round. Rumor has it Budinger wanted no part of Paul Harris in a recent workout. Does he really love basketball? I’m not sure because he doesn’t play like it. I like Budinger don’t get me wrong I just want to see him show some emotion and get aggressive. He has a lot of potential. Great size for a SG with solid leaping ability and an excellent jumpshot.

UofAxWildcatsParticipantchase is going to be a stud, if he gets into the right system he is going to be amazing. i really want my twolves to get him because we desperately need a shooter,,, but i think the better system would be the phoenix suns, he loves up tempo system and his freshman year was his best when he was playing under lute olson, that year he was projected as a top5 pick if he came out according to this website….

piratejpParticipantHe should have come out that year then, because he’s sliding in this draft. I still think he goes in the 1st round, but 13-18 seems high & it’s not inconceivable that he drops to the 2nd.

Anton123ParticipantIf Oklahoma gets him on 25 that would be great, though guess it’ll be hard to play behind Harden and Durant, but Oklahoma needs good reserves, and if Chase will be satisfied with being a sixth man it’ll be real good.

WildDudeParticipantHonestly he plays a lot like Trevor Ariza, both great athletes… can shoot when on fire and love slashing to the basket, both are 2/3 tweeners but more of a 3 and chase has the potential to be the defender Ariza has.
