Charlie SheenParticipantHire Michael Malone as the Head Coach
2012 NBA Draft
2nd Overall Pick- Bradley Beal G Florida- The Cats need a 2 Guard who stretch the floor while Kemba operates in the pick n roll. Beal can light it up as well as slash, defend hard and is a team 1st guy.
Trade #31 overall and Tyrus Thomas to the Boston Celtics for #21 overall
22st Overall Pick- Quincy Miller F Baylor- His elite scoring set and size rivals OKC dominate F Kevin Durnat. If Miller can become half the player KD is the Cats are in for a treat. Adding 2 legitimate scoring threats on the wing will go a long way in Charlotte becoming a playoff team.
Trades
Bobcats- Metta World Peace and a future 1st
Lakers- Corey Maggette
MWP will add some toughness and attitude to Charlotte. Along with the future 1st Charlotte puts themselves in a great situation.
Bobcats- Jimmy Butler and cash considerations
Bulls- DJ Augustine(sign and trade) and Gerald Henderson
The Bulls need some PG insurance since D.Rose will be out. I doubt Nash(Suns, Lakers, Heat or Mavs) goes to Chicago nor Miller(Lakers, Heat or Nuggets), Kidd(Mavs or retire) or Billups(Clippers, Heat, Knicks or Nuggets). While Butler is a nice young talent Chicago has interest in moving up to select Harrison Barnes highly unlikely but they have assets. With Brewer, Korver, Hamilton and Deng all in front of Butler I can see them using him to get the PG help they need as Asik and the rights to Mirotic seem unlikely to be traded
Free Agency
F- Antwan Jamison- more veteran leadership for a young team.
C- Greg Oden- hear me out. The Cats need a star and Oden needs a home and someone to take a chance with him. He’s been linked to Miami and Indiana but Hibbert is in Indy and the Heat need a more polished offensive Center than Oden. Oden and Biyombo can rival Ibaka and Perkins as a defensive frontcourt.
G- Anthony Carter- another vet who is a solid back up
2012-2013 Charlotte Bobcats
C- Biyombo/Mullens
F- Jamison/White
F- World Peace/Miller
G- Beal/Butler
G- Walker/Carter
after another poor year say 15-67 the Bobcats get the 5th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft and select Cody Zeller in the 1st and Elijah Johnson in the 2nd. Along with a returning Greg Oden who’s finally healthy and a more experienced club now with an identity and name change we have the
2013-2014 Charlotte Hornets
C- Greg Oden
F- Cody Zeller
F- Metta World Peace
G- Brad Beal
G- Kemba Walker
F- Quincy Miller
F- Bismack Biyombo
F- Antwan Jamison
G- Jimmy Butler
G- Anthony Carter
C- BJ Mullens
G- Elijah Johnson

Anton123ParticipantMetta World Peace in 2013-2014 will probably be like a 5&5 guy, Jamison will also be on his last legs and you can’t be sure about Oden, so it’s really the starting line up of: Walker-Beal-Butler-Zeller-Oden
And if Oden goes down – the team just becomes awful again

SwatLakeCityParticipantI really think the Bobcats should trade the second pick, I mean after Anthony Davis there isn’t much value left unless they take a chance on Drummond and who knows if that works out. Maybe they could try something with Portland since they have two lottery picks. Maybe this is way they can get rid of Corey Maggette or Tyrus Thomas. Portland could sure use Drummond and maybe they think he won’t be available at 6 so maybe they should move up to two secure Drummond. If they trade down they could take Harrison Barnes or Thomas Robinson. Both players fill needs and both would be picked at a more reasonable position. They could even draft Brad Beal at 6. (That sounds more reasonable than #2. Just a thought that I think the Bobcats should consider.

river09ParticipantI could see Charlotte taking MKG with the second overall pick, whether that’s a good decision or not. His toughness, and scrappy style of play I really feel like would fit in well and be great for the team to build around..

ProudGrandpaParticipantWhat can Brad Beal do that MKG can’t do as well or better?
Be short?

TRC1991ParticipantWait, so you want the Bobcats to trade their starting backcourt for jimmy butler?… Also, Doc Rivers wouldn’t want Tyrus Thomas on his roster, he already has Tyrus’ twin (sean williams)

akhan786ParticipantLol the trade is pretty bad…but as a Bulls fan I would LOVE if we got DJ and Gerald Henderson.
