B-ball fanParticipantCeltics really struggling. They just can’t buy a shot from the field, even when they are wide open. They have failed to take advantage of their opportunities on offense, making silly TOs and just not converting shots.
The Knicks are playing with noticeably more energy and have played decent offense, not settling for as many bad shots.
A couple big threes by Green and Terry have gotten it closer though. This looks like it should be a close game at the end. The Celtics defense has been good so far, surrendering only 34 to this point despite committing numerous TOs. And Carmelo is still not doing great, so the Celtics should make a comeback.

ShekiruBoomParticipantgod these two games are bad.. pacers and hawks are 37 to 29 and the knicks celtics are 39 to 27 at the half

B-ball fanParticipantThe Celtics really missed a lot of opportunities in that half. Their defense was phenomenal and they had a series of open looks and some good looking offensive possessions. The Celtics are going to need to get hot from downtown if they are going to win, as they just don’t get enough looks at the rim, as none of their slashers are super-imposing. Jeff Green can be good, but he is best if the defense isn’t set, as he is mostly a straight-line driver who is reliant on his physicality.
The Knicks look better than they did last game, but their offense still doesn’t look very good. They got some open threes that the Celtics basically conceded to Prigioni and got some easy shots off of forced TOs, but, other than that, they haven’t had tons of good looks. If they are to beat Indiana or Atlanta, they are going to need to play better offense. I think they are hindered by their lack of a top PG. Felton has been surprisingly good at times this series, but they really don’t have a great distributor or drive-and-kick guy on the perimeter.

mini_marzParticipantHappy to see this. Melo isn’t shooting well but he’s not holding the ball so it’s allowing others to be productive. On another note gotta shout out my boy shumpert who has been playing great d on pierce when he’s on him this game and the last, finally starting to look like himself again on d and is shooting the ball well from 3. I think his defence will be huge in our post season and if he continues to hit the open 3 like this it will go a long way

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantWhat the hell happened?! It was like a 23 point game when I changed it to the Pacer game and now it’s a 6 point game?!

Wavy BagelsParticipantWell…that escalated quickly.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantNot only that but he is taking terrible turnaround step-back fadeaways every time.
They have Brandon Bass on you! Get some space and work him, don’t bail him out!

BigChamp12ParticipantHistoric comeback! Never imagined! I wanna see Melo close it now! 6 point game with 3mins to go. Celtics have all the momentum.
Jeff Green does that so many times a game. He just runs and jump into people repeatedly, but the refs send him to the line. I dont get it.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI think they brought in Terry a bit too late. Green was fatigued and they kept him out there. Terry could have spread the floor and knocked down some threes. Instead, they put the pressure on a tired Green and PIerce to create for everyone else.

B-ball fanParticipantWell, that was interesting for a little while. The superior team won and it really wasn’t the Celtics night, but that was a silly ridiculous run by the Celtics there.

Wavy BagelsParticipantI got a whole new respect for the Celts. They worked their asses off to cut that lead to 4.

Wavy BagelsParticipantKnick fans were shaking in their boots for a good minute until they closed the game. Obviously, things need to be addressed heading into the 2nd round against the defensive juggernaut Pacers.

FastAndFuriousParticipantGood win for the Knicks! Let’s see what happens next round.
