Nate Robinson will re-sign with the Celtics.

Robinson was acquired by the Celtics at the trade deadline in a trade with the Knicks.

He played sparingly throughout the playoffs until the Eastern Conference Finals.

He;s a great spark off the bench when he doesn’t play like a fool.

    6MOY possibility.

The Celts have been making a lot of moves, they really wanna win one more time before KG Pierce and Allen kick the bucket.

Good for Nate! I think that’s a good deal for him. $4.5 million per year for a guy who hasn’t been a regular starter is a nice salary. It’s a two-year deal, so he has a chance to prove his worth for a bigger payday next time. Or, if he’s never going to be able to go higher (I would say “no pun intended”, but the little man really does jump pretty high!) in this league, he should be able to get that again next time. Not a bad living.

I really like Nate as a player, and I never got too annoyed with the parts of his game that seemed to bother other people. But Mike D’Antoni had a closer look than I did and I guess those two just didn’t work well together. He was also a great guy to have around the team, and the community. I think he’ll do the same kind of things in Boston. We got pretty good value for him in picking up Bill Walker, and I wish him the best in his career in Boston, or wherever he goes from there.

I agree that Nate has a good chance at this if he’s used regularly. But remember that he wasn’t used much by the Celtics until the playoffs. If he gets a chance, he’ll earn his minutes.

And what about the Knicks’ chances. Out of Azubuike, Chandler, and Randolph, at least one will start the game on the bench. If we don’t make any more roster changes, and our rotation gets established so we are steady in our starting lineup for the last half of the season, the odd man out in that bunch could earn that honor.
