CavFanPRParticipantThe nets are desperate and it could cost them in the long run. WTF are they thinking?

JmpasqParticipantThey have 2 Choices basically, They can Lose in the 1st Round until Joe Johnson and Gerald Wallace come off the books in 3 seasons
or
They can cash out 4 Seasons to have a 2 year window at a title

David Stern a.k.a. da muthaf@cking leader of da kryptsParticipantThis is what gets me excited about the draft. This might be huge but it would be tough to see those two go. I don’t believe in God but I am praying this deal doesn’t somehow involve Joe Johnson or Gerald Wallace.

DolanCareParticipant3 first round picks?
That could mean several things- but if that means 2 extra 2014 picks then Boston should pull the trigger

JmpasqParticipantthe weird thing is the Hawks own the rights to swap with the Nets in 2014 and 2015. Can the Nets trade that pick still? I wonder if its like 2013,2015,2017

doubledribblerParticipantI think the Celtics are going all in. Don’t be surprised if they do that deal. They can get better players, but they are wanting to be awful next year. I’m not sure if there is a better way then to basically trade away all your teams leaders (including Doc) and then know that Rondo may be out for awhile.

Sewok15ParticipantI hope they tank and have the worst record in the league. I then hope they get leap frogged by 3 teams in the lottery and end up with the 4th selection. I hope they decide to keep Rondo and build around him.
I hope the first 3 picks of the 2014 draft are Wiggins Parker and Randle. I then hope the Celtics draft Marcus Smart and build around 2 point guards that can’t shoot.

Sewok15ParticipantThe Nets would probably give up a handful of picks to any team willing to take the 30+ million they owe Gerald Wallace over the next three seasons off their hands. Getting two hall of famers on top of it would just be a bonus.
I know Boston isn’t gonna get anything that great for KG and Pierce but they have to be able to do better than this…

The three first-round picks the Nets propose to send to Boston: 2014, 2016 and 2018.Those 2016 and 2018 picks may be lottery picks by then.Garnett Pierce will be done so will Joe Johnson, Deron Williams will be in his 30’s

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantApparently, Jason Terry is also part of this deal.
I would assume MarShon Brooks, Gerald Wallace and Kris Humphries would also be part of this deal
