I think if the Raptors really do want to flip Lowry then this is a match made in heaven. Lowry’s game and defense would fit in well with the Celtics and his contract would be provide a pretty decent stop gap until Rondo returns sometime next year. It will be up to the Raps if Celtics have something worth parting with essentially their 1st rounder this year.

I wouldn’t mind giving up that first rounder. This year’s draft is going to be weaker than most.

These are actually great trades for the Celtics. They get the scorer they need in Monta Ellis and a great piece in Al Jefferson. Although Pierce will most likely be a Celtic for life, they can actually pull off this trade. It seems like Jefferson wants out of Utah and the Celtics are really interested in him right now. He’d be a great fit back in the city he was drafted in. The first trade (for Ellis) is great. The salaries match up really well and a Rondo-Ellis backcourt would be deadly. The Jefferson trade has a longer shot of happening, but it actually wouldn’t be bad for the Jazz. They get a great player when healthy and another good veteran that can help out. The trade doesn’t solely have to be about on-court performance. A guy like Pierce or Terry can really help out some of their younger core players like Gordon Hayward. Having Jefferson out of the picture would also allow a young prospect like Derrick Favors or Enes Kanter more time to evolve their game and become the players that they can be. Overall, great trades there even though the second one is a longshot. They can really benefit the Celtics as well as the Jazz and Bucks. Whoever thought of these trades is on the right track here, props to him.

The Celtics trading for Monta Ellis is very interesting. He’s the type of sparkplug that would keep their season afloat this year, and would mesh very well with Ronod next year.

This would also clear the way for the Bucks to commit to Jennings and gives them 2 really good defenders in Bradley and Green. I think Green and Ersan would be a nice combo at the forward positions tho they are similar in playing style, Green has the perimeter skills to play SF full time. A starting 5 of Jennings/Bradley/Green/Ersan/Sanders is a very dangerous lineup with a ton of speed and playmaking ability.

I think the Celtics would want one of the Bucks bigs too like Sammy or Epke and I would love to see Dunleavy got the Boston he’d be a nice fit on that team. But the salaries would make it hard to match. I’d imagine the Celtics could package Terry too tho.

i don’t see the jazz doing that deal with jefferson unless you throw in draft picks.the monta ellis one i like boston would have a scorer and when rondo returns he would get elllis easy shots.the question is monta worth a max deal ?we all know he wants one.i think celtics should just try to stock pile as many draft picks as possible the 2014 draft looks more promising.
