The cavs not having a  is killing there off-season.  Once Kyrie said he wanted to be traded this is the prime opportunity to get Melo and a 3 and d pg.  due to them not having a gm this is just going to linger.  Honestly I do not think Cleveland makes it back to the finals with the current team and dis function with in the organization.

I read on bleacher report that the knicks were willing to trade Melo and two picks for Kyrie with the suns getting into the deal and offering Bledsoe and Chandler.  Why wouldn’t you make this trade.  Cleveland is facing a post lebron this time worse than the first time. They have no picks until 2019 and at this point they will be without Kyrie and lebron. I couldn’t post the link nbadraft blocked it.

     1. Death

    2. Taxes

    3. Lebron winning the East.

I’m a long time Cavs fan and it really does look like the team is about to completely crumble. I must say that it’s been worth it though, 3 straight finals, 1 championship, I couldn’t have asked for more.

I thought David Griffin was a good GM, and I was sad to see the way the Cavs handled the whole situation. It looks like the owner is done spending all that money, the Cavs were said to be the team losing most money in the NBA the past couple of years, seems like saving money will be a priority, and basketball will now come second. This is sad, but it’s been a great run.

Wonder if Dan Gilbert would be interested in selling the team while it still has some appeal, their market value is about to plummet.

Interesting. Could you give us maybe a small idea/summary as to how the Cavs are losing money? I’m just curious, because for a non-Cav fan like me, at first glance, I’d think they’re making money rather than losing it with Lebron there.

I’m sorry, I had to be more specific. I was referring to the team’s operating income. According to Forbes, Cleveland’s operating income this past season has been a negative 40,2 million, which is worst in the league. Clippers are second place at a negative 11,8 million, that’s a huge margin. For contrast, the Knicks’ operating income is upward of 140 million.

I have a feeling all of this Kyrie trade chatter is going to blow over and Irving will still end up being a Cavelier when the season begins. The Cavs have finally found a GM, Koby Altman was promoted to that position. Within this week, he will sit down with both Kyrie and Lebron and find out what they are looking for, what is really the issue. The media tends to blow things out of proportion just to get a story.

I don’t really think Irving is unhappy with Lebron and nor does he really want to lead a team he just wants their to be a resolution with the Cavs so he’s lashing out wanting to be traded to a more stable situation which I can’t say I blame him. I think a lot of star players would want to be traded if they were in his situation. If players’ morale are important to Altman, and they should be, then he will sit down with Kyrie, talk to him and probably discuss his own plans regarding Irving with of course the confines that whatever is discussed does not leak out to the media because they will once blow things out of proportion, just to get their own story therefore reporting something that isn’t completely true.

Gilbert’s Ego, I think he don’t want to portriat to everyone that Lebron is the man that approves or demand every trade or move, he wants to be the alpha and want to portray he control everything
