halfdecayedParticipantThey are quietly putting a solid run, 11 win streak right now, and they’ve look good through this stretch. Nobody is talking about their run, probably because the Hawks, but IMO that Waiters deal seems to be paying off now. I would have really liked to see what they could have done with Varejao healthy though, he was fitting very well offensively with Lebron.
I am honestly surprised JR has played this well and is not constantly taking stupid shots. Mozgoz also seems to fit well with Lebron and he’s really helping their inside defense. Right now I think finding Love’s roll in the offense will be the key to their success, he hasn’t shot the ball well recently, but I like the fact that he’s still the rebounding machine he was in Minny, he had 15 tonight.
So anyway, I just wanted to share my thoughts on this team and would like to know your opinions on how successfull they can be this season.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantThe Eastern Conference has been crapped on for so long that its nice to see the Hawks, Cavs, Wizards and Raptors playing very good basketball, the Bulls are very tough as well, the playoffs are going to be brutal in the Eastern Conference this year
The Hawks are on an amazing roll, the Cavs are primed to start one of their own, the Bulls/Wiz/Raps can beat anyone in the NBA and there is so much potential on those mediocre/bad teams…
The Cavs made the right moves and got role players to support their Big 3, they may not have much room for error as the competition is catching up to Lebron and his Superstar cohorts…
Just imagine if Wade and Deng were healthy in Miami and Paul George not destroyed his leg over the summer, the Heat and Pacers would add to the formidable teams in the East, then there was the glimmer of hope in Detroit and the potential in Milwaukee and Orlando(Not to Mention Charlotte, Boston and Philadelphia)
The Knicks and Nets are the only teams out East I feel like are a complete mess right now(At least the Knicks will have a high pick…They really need to part ways with Anthony though!!!)

Then you can have Kyrie off the ball spotting up for a jumper.
It will be LeBron’s job to get Kevin Love going.

ballislyfe25ParticipantThe Cavaliers run a ton of screen action with James and Love, however, it is almost always a pick and pop and Love just hasn’t been knocking down the 3 ball. After missed shots and empty posessions, they naturally move away from it and Love is regulated to the corner and crashing the offensive glass, which isn’t exactly the worst thing.
Blatt needs to establish Love early on the block and have him get some easy buckets/points at the line. If Love can get some post touches, he will get some confidence while getting in a rhythm and those jump shots will fall much more consistently. LeBron and the guards (Kyrie, J.R.) need to make this a point, as Love will open up so much for them. I would like to see LeBron work on the block a little more, as well.
During the streak, Clevelands offense has definitely improved but establishing Love will take them to the next level. Love’s presence alone helps the offense (Kyle Korver effect), imagine if he actually starts getting 20+ ppg? Scary.
