BleedGreen808ParticipantHe slept through his media phone call the morning after the draft and now missed his flight to his first practice. In his introduction press conference and a couple interviews since he has been asked repeatedly questioned about his motor and a perceived lack of hard work. He kept talking about working hard and following the work ethic of vets like Al Horford but so far he’s been more talk than action. He has to be better or he’ll be in the dog house quickly.0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/02/2018 - 1:01am #1121163
Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantThere’s a reason he slipped so far in the draft.

whiteflashParticipantThat’s unreal. Some people are just wired to self destruct.

ChrispyParticipantThe best comment on the ESPN article was "When they called him a sleeper, I didn’t think they meant it literally".

mowestenParticipantIn my 20 plus years of hiring people as a small business owner, I have actually had several people miss their first day of work or show up late.
But … I have never had someone jack up their first day on the job, and later turn out to be a good hire. Not once.
There is something inate about a good employee that causes them to take their first day on the job especially serious.
Most of the people I know, if they had just been drafted by the Boston Celtics, would have bought their own ticket and shown up to summer league a week early. It would have been impossible to be late because they would have already been there waiting on everyone else.
I hope it works out for this kid, but I think we’re seeing the reasons he fell to the Celtics.

OhCanada-ParticipantHaha yeah. Usually even people with the worst ethics and morales work hard until they get that first paycheck. After that god knows what they spend their money on.
