    What do you guys think?

I don’t think he should be fired. what did they expect to make the playoffs with that roster?? Kyrie hurt for a portion of the season, very young team.

I don’t think it has anything to do with the roster or losing so much. It seems like him and Kyrie are not on the same page. Kyrie had a few no comments in regards to Scott’s future. That’s just not something you expect to hear from you star player regarding the head coach. I think he is a pretty solid coach, but I don’t think he is there next year which is sad because will start getting much better next year and will probably be in the playoff hunt next year and most definitely will be in the playoffs in 2015.

You realize they won less games than the Phoenix Suns and Detroit Pistons, right? While having All-Star Kyrie Irving play nearly 60 games. They should have at least pulled out 28-32 wins.

Hell, even Washington got more wins than them and they were horrific while John Wall was out.

They played terribly and showed next to no cohesiveness. Byron Scott’s job was simple, win about 30 games this season and he failed to do that, even with an All-Star on his roster for about 60/82 games

They’re bottom 3 team talent wise, pure and simple.

Pistons owner is unhappy with the poor job Dumars and coach Lawrence Frank has done..They could be gone by seasons end…

Doug Collins doesn’t stay long at any place, so i think he might leave Philly..

Even though Hollins has won more games than any other Grizzly coach and have kept them winners and respectable since taking over…They have yet to offer him an extention…His contract is up at season’s end..And Even he doesnt know if they will give him another one…

But I imagine and the local media here does also that he won’t be fired. The problem is who do you hire? There are too many spots available for coaches this year and Cleveland isn’t the top destination. Plus what’s going to happen when Bron opts out, if he even entertains coming he will certainly have some say in the coach. If your hiring a legend and great coach I don’t think it matters what the players think but those aren’t usually on the open market. Last time around they tried to get Izzo and Byron was the back up choice.

I say see what Byron does next season and if they fall to say 15-25, then make a move at or after the break. Let it be an interim guy and go for a top 3-5 pick. Hopefully you get Parker or Wiggins then go (almost certainly unsuccessfully) at Coach Cal, Coach K, Phil, Izzo and Jeff Van Gundy. Then tell Bron you would hire Dru Joyce if he comes.

All in all, I personally like Byron, he is tough and is the leader, much different from Mike Brown who was a weak stand in. With a young team without a natural leader, you need that in a coach. If the direction and roster changes then you can maybe make a different choice according to whose being coached. The odd thing is Scott likes vets and they have built a roster devoid of vets until December last year. Until Kyrie becomes that or someone else, then that’s the coaches job. The defense is terrible, noticeably remarkably terrible. Kyrie has no clue and that’s coaching. He has given better physical effort as of late but its probably hurt his offense.

We need a real 7 footer or legit shot blocker. With a guy like D Jordan, L Sanders or J McGee the liabilities on the perimeter could be covered up some. I propose that if we get the top, I would give it up to Denver for McGee and their pick. I mean Nerlens for McGee. Why not, if Iggy picks up his option then that’s 16 million and Ty Lawsons new deal kicks in next year and Gallo is hurt. You could move W Chandler but what if he plays well in playoffs and Gallo takes longer than expected to come back. He doesn’t seem like a quick healer to me and you don’t want him back rigid, his fluidity and creativeness is what makes him not Bargs. They get cheaper we get a real 7 footer. Varajao, Thompson and McGee is a formidable front line.
