Andrew Bynum hyperextends right knee VS the Spurs.

Does anyone know how long a player sits out with this kind of injury?

It was on his surgically repaired knee .

Lakers are in trouble now without him.

hyperextended knee just means he bent it too far and it could mean anything from playing the next day to his season is done if there is serious damage. We wont find out the ammount of damage until the mri tommorow and even if it comes up clear it could still cause him enough discomfort to effect him for weeks. Or he could be completely fine when he wakes up in the morning.

I am hoping they are able to give him some rest for a week and then he is able to come back.  The fact that he was able to walk on his own shows a little bit of hope.  If Lakers win out and draw New Orleans, they could afford to have him out a whole series.

I had the same type of injury for about 8 months and I eventually tore my mpcl tendon. (connected to the kneecap) I eventually had to have reconstructive surgery and replace my tendon. The time length is usually 4-6 months but, he may not need surgery and be back in no time.

soft enough to win back to back titles. 29 other teams wish they were as soft as the lakers.
