When the Draft process first started three things were clear…#1 suposively a very weak draft…#2 shooting guard was weakest position…#3 Alec Burks was best shooting guard.  While maybe not much has changed since then, Jordan Hamilton, Klay Thompson and Marshon Brooks have clearly shot up the draft boards and each one of them could possibly be taken before Burks.  I have seen so many different draft scenarios in the order of these 4 SG that it has led me to post this topic.  The Bobcats at #9 or the Bucks at #10 should be the first team to select a shooting guard.  My question to the fourm is:

Which shooting guard comes off the board first?

What order are they selected in?……..(not which one is the best)

I’d say Burks comes off first(either to Utah at #12 or Milwaukee at #10), followed by Hamilton, then Thompson, then Brooks.

If Burks goes 10, I expect Thompson to go just before Hamilton at the back end of the lotto, then Brooks anywhere from 15-20. If Burks goes 12 then I could see Thompson sliding out of the lottery and possibly going after Brooks.

I think Burks is the top SG prospect, but I feel a team looking for shooting may in fact take Klay Thompson ahead of him, same with Hamilton.  I’ve read Golden State is high on both.

I think burks goes at 9 because he has a connection with the bobcats Rod Higgins. They need a SG and he seems like a good fit.  Then Maybe thompson at 11 or 15.. If burks doesnt go 9 then 10 or 12.. Hamilton really could go anywhere from 10-20.. Brooks goes top 20

"Supposively" is not a word.  Try "supposedly".

The ladies will start linin’ up…

he isn’t good enough to be a lottery pick if you see him play

Based on play alone, neither was BJ Mullens.  He was an average college player, not that he has amounted to anything, but he was still a lottery pick.

BJ Mullens wasn’t a lotto pick, he went 24th overall

Besides maybe being a better passer I don’t see how Burks is a better prospect than Morris Almond.

Brooks has been tearing it up in workouts and is climbing up the board.  At this stage 20 to Wolves seems likely although he could go higher.

I would go Hamilton, Burks, Thompson then Brooks

"Besides maybe being a better passer I don’t see how Burks is a better prospect than Morris Almond."

They play NOTHING alike, and Burks is a better shot creator and ball-handler than Almond. He’s also a better athlete.

I really am hoping brooks slides into the wolves laps at 20 but i don’t think he’ll last…

top 10, burks : has all the skills, no real weakness except outside shooting, which has the potential to improve.. too much potential to be the real deal unlike the rest to be taken after any of the others..

10-15 thompson : he can shoot.. woop!

10-20 Hamilton : i dunno people say he’s good.. was never a huge fan..

15-25 Brooks : won’t pass.. but can score whenever.. or will try to atleast.. I was a huge fan of jordan crawford from xavier (xavier vs. ksu my favorite ncaa tourney game to have watched) and he has worked well so far in the nba and brooks reminds me exactly like him except taller.. if i remember right crawford was taken in the 20s too..
