I love Flynn but I wouldn’t spend 16 on a backup point guard. This only makes sense if we plan on losing Hinrich and BG and continue to run Vinny’s 3 guard line-up, which is fast but makes for mismatches on D.

I can’t see them getting Jonny Flynn. It could happen, but I would rather see them trade up and grab DeJuan Blair. They could always trade one of their veterans like Hinrich (Why? besides money) or Tim Thomas ,even, for a late to middle 1st Round Pick or 2nd Round Pick and grab a back-up PG. Players like Collison, Douglas, A.J. Price and McNeal (who I really like) will all be there for the taking in Round 2.

There’s no question that Thabeet can play the game of basketball. After all, we’re talking about one of college basketball’s most dominant centers from 2008-09. He averaged a respectable 13.6 points to go with his 10.8 rebounds as a junior, but it was primarily the 152 shots he blocked in his third year at UCONN that earned him the attention of the Memphis Grizzlies, who used the second overall pick of the 2009 NBA Draft to acquire him.

Minnesota Timberwolves – Seemingly overnight, the T-Wolves transformed a young and inexperienced group into a veteran-laden team heading into this season. Andrei Kirilenko’s entrance into the starting lineup and, if healthy, Brandon Roy’s return to grace looks to give Minnesota a legit chance of a postseason appearance in 2013.

“I don’t think he was his regular self,” Drew said. “There had to still be some concern lingering of the possibility of the arm being pulled back and reinjuring it. He spent such a long time and he had the surgery and started the rehab so that was a long process.

Hopefully it’s enough to get him a roster spot. There’s not a whole lot more he can do to make the team. The stats have been strong, the team has a need for an extra center, and he’s got a perfect attitude and work ethic. Houston’s roster is a bit of a mess, but Smith would be a nice addition.

I sort of like Jonny Flynn but I don’t think it’d good to draft him with all the guards we got already, They have so many ways they can go and there is no way to know if they are drafting for someone else or themselves. Plus, They could always have players in workouts just to use as a measuring stick, for other prospects. No way to know.
