This is interesting. I don’t know this reporters sources but according to the way he has written it, the Bulls and Blazer have discussed a trade involving Deng and Aldridge. He claims Aldridge wants out of Portland and that the Blazers want Noah as part of the deal. However, I would think the Trailblazer would have to consider Deng and the future Charlotte 1st round pick that the Bulls own. I like this from the Bulls perspective, but what about you Portland fans?

I don’t trust this report but if it was true I would want Noah part of deal. Not interested in Deng.

L.A. has a really low-key personality. From what I’ve heard he loves his privacy. Portland fits his personality quite well.

… don’t know… last big trade around the draft involving those two teams ended in an ladridge / swift swap.

It was an Aldridge-Tyrus Thomas swap you mean.

You mean an Aldridge for Tyrus Thomas trade. I was soooo pumped when the Bulls drafted LA, only to have it crushed by getting untalented (but athletic) Tyrus Thomas. Interesting trade. This would almost certainly bring along a Boozer amnesty.

I’m calling BS. The Blazers wouldn’t do this. I mean, like why would they want Luol Deng? They just signed Nicolas Batum to a 4 year deal worth damn near $50 million.

Noah and Aldridge would be a huge problem without Rose. Throw Rose in the mix, and that team is definitely a serious contender.

However, I don’t like Deng for the Blazers. They’ve already got Batum.

There must be another deal in the works for Portland. Like IndianaBasketball says, they have Batum at SF. They have also been tied to drafting KCP. This would give them KCP, Matthews, Batum, and Deng at the 2/3 spots. They could always play small ball and put Deng at the 4. Today’s NBA is much less about position and much more about talent. If LA wants out, then you just need to maximize his trade value. Getting an All Star SF along with the great asset of the Bobcats pick would be a good return for a player that wants out.

Interesting trade. It could easily work with a 3rd team involved to take on the Deng contract instead of Portland.

The Grizz would do well with Deng as their SF next year.

Marc Stein reported the Bulls offered their pick to HOU for T-Rob to possibly flip him in another bigger deal. Makes sense if these Portland talks are true
