I think that he will be a first round draft pick in 2014 if he expands upon what he has done this year. He’s got the size, athleticism, defensive ability, and scoring ability. He’s really improved over the course of the season.

What are your thoughts on him?

I haven’t been able to watch more recent UNLV games, but has his shot selection improved recently? Or is he just making his bad shots? I was only able to watch the earlier OoC and early conference games and his shot selection was terrible…as was most of the team’s.

I think his shot selection is much better. He’s playing within the flow of the offense and himself. He’s 24-40 from the field and 7-13 from three in his last five games. In that same time period, he’s also had 17 attempts from the free throw line. I don’t know what he was doing in the Oregon game. That was his worst game of the year.

In that case, I’ll have to catch them in their tourneys. BDJ was the type of player who’s physical talent is evident, but his shot selection made me want to gouge my eyes out, both he and Reinhardt. Marshall sometimes too. If he improves his decision making and sustains it over the course of next season, then yeah, he could possibly sneak into the first round next yr since he is athletically gifted with good size for the 2.

I really wish there was some way you could watch the last five games because it looks like a light has gone on for him. Also, he’s more than just an offensive player. He’s proven to be a very good defensive player. He’s holding opponents to 32% shooting on the season.

They’re on Time Warner Cable Sportsnet tomorrow. The MWC Tournament will be on CBS Sports Network for Wednesday and Friday. They’re on CBS on Saturday if the make the championship game of the tournament.

I’m in the midwest and I don’t get CBS sports so if there isn’t a stream, then I can’t watch. For whatever reason, the westcoast streamers have been slacking. It’s the same for games on the PAC12 network too.

I hope they play in the championship game then. That’s the one that will be nationally televised on CBS. The MWC is about to sign a 7-year deal with ESPN, so it should be easier for everyone to catch a few games.

I’m fortunate to have CBS Sports Network.

The Mountain West has been a top 5 conference in college hoops this year.

Despite having just 9 teams, they will get 5 bids. That has to be the highest percentage ever by a mid-major conference.

If UNLV is on, they can beat anyone. Problem is that Marshall sometimes has trouble facilitating, BDJ used to be a chucker (has really improved in this department), and Moser has either been playing hurt or playing asleep.

New Mexico is a great team but they have struggled with some crappy teams and even lost to South Dakota State at home and just lost to Air Force. I think they’re extremely dangerous though with their incredible size (Kendall Williams, 6’4 at the point, Tony Snell, 6’7 on the wing, and Captain Kirk and Bairstow down low at 7’0 and 6’9 respectively), to go along with the recent strong play of Bairstow, their athleticism on the perimeter, and their strong defense. New Mexico could croak early but they could also go far.

I also really like Colorado State. All senior starters and they crash the board like crazy, led by Colton Iverson aka Allen’s brother!
