Keep lurking and waiting for someone to ask this question. Hasn’t happened yet (that I’ve seen), so I thought I’d ask myself. What do people think of Bryce Cotton’s NBA potential? I’ve watched him quite a bit this year, and I always come away confused that he doesn’t seem to even be on the NBA draft radar. He reminds me of Allen Iverson–yes, a very poor man’s version of AI, don’t get me wrong. He’s slight of frame, but he never tires (he literally has played every minute of 15 or 16 straight games, including, I think, 6 overtimes), he’s a fierce competitor who just finds ways to score, and he elevates the play of his teammates. I’ve really enjoyed watching him, and I hope he gets a chance to shine (however briefly) in the tourney.

I think he’s worth a second round pick. I could see him thriving in the D-League for a year or two before making an impact off an NBA team’s bech. He was hardly recruited out of high school, so it wouldn’t be anything new for the NBA to snub him only to eventually outplay more heavily touted prospects.

Thoughts? Comparisons to former/current NBA players?

    Thanks for reading.
