festar35ParticipantCollison and Mayo vs Lin and Harden?

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI may be biased because I’m a Rockets fan but I have to say Lin and Harden. Harden is a much better player than Mayo. Hell, none of the other three players are even on Harden’s level (current and potential).
Lin and Collison are a push but I’d say Lin can run a team better.

ShekiruBoomParticipanti would go harden in harden alone vs collison and mayo

festar35ParticipantJames Hardens’ upside to me is what Brandon Roy was when healthy and OJ Mayo I think would compare to Ray Allen.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI hope you mean what Ray Allen is right now rather than what he was 10 years ago.

festar35ParticipantMore thinking the Boston Ray Allen.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantWell yeah I think he could fit that bill. He’s finally getting the minutes and touches, hell the Mavs could be his team in the moment between Dirk leaving and when they get a legit #1 option.

Puregreen5ParticipantKyrie Irving and Dion Waiters have brighter futures, then both Lin/Harden and Collison/Mayo.

r377ParticipantI am just gonna chuck some more names into the mix:
Wall / Beal
Jennings/ Ellis
Curry / Thompson
Mayo runs hot and cold. His productivity and shot attempts will decrease when Dirk gets back….

fgrrghgParticipantLowry/ Derozan…

khaled_a_dParticipantWell,Harden is obviously the best of the four ,and he is enough reason to say the Rockets back court has better bright future ,not to mention Mayo and Collison are both in contract year ,this duo might not last for long
that said ,I want to say I really like Collison., he has been really good, with Dirk out that is Collison team for now ,I am a Mavs fan so that Is a homer pick but I think Collison will be in the discussion for the MIP0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/06/2012 - 3:53am #726393
jwostrumParticipanti think harden and lin. although mayo and collison is a good backcourt.

BlakesanityParticipantIt’ s a contract year for Mayo (and Collison as well I think), so maybe they don’t even have a future …

RUDEBOY_ParticipantIt appears that the quality of good Backcourt combinations are making a Comeback…Ellis & Jennings,Irving & Waiters, and Wall & Beal looks promising..Mayo & Collison started off inconsistent, but have played well the last 2 games…………
But i believe Harden & Lin compliment each other better…Lin might be 1 of the best in the league at running the pick & roll….Even when Harden was coming off the bench in OKC,there were alot of people that felt he was the 3rd best shooting guard in the league…..

KHAM83Participantlike others has said, Harden alone sways the decision to Houston backcourt, but you have to remember what’s expected of the players. Lin/Harden are counted on to be superstars, and to lead the Rockets. Collison/Mayo are not depended on to carry the team, but just to play their roles. With that said, I think Collison/Mayo will be more successful. I don’t think Lin can continue to live up to the pressure and hype over the long run.

eci_eliteParticipantI know you haters are going to take points from me but I’ve got to say the trio of George Hill, Paul George, and Lance Stephenson have a brighter future than any of them.

Toronto16ParticipantYea, no love for the Lowry/DeRozan back court? They have been playing really well.

apb540ParticipantYou listed a trio, this is about duos.
This is a really good question however. I want to go with Kyrie and Waiters largely because I think Kyrie is that good, but then I think about passing up on James Harden + anything and that seems crazy.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/06/2012 - 9:41am #726465
SiggyParticipantI’d go with whichever backcourt has the best player out of the bunch. So… Harden and whoever his backcourt mate is.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/06/2012 - 10:16am #726470
KHAM83ParticipantHis question was the brighter future out of the two, not the brightest in the league. Stop taking offense because he didn’t list other backcourts.
