new too the site and was wondering who everyone has as their break out players for the upcoming season.

one guy i think will have a big year is rubio being on a contract year i think he’ll find a way to shoot better and become a more all around player on offense to go with his already solid defense.

I think with Meeks out 2 months (and possibly longer, back issues are particularly iffy) he will get all the minutes he can handle. He has shown through summer league and pre-season he is more than up for the added responsibility. Once he gets the jump on Meeks I believe he will make the starting spot his own.

Tony Wroten is a name that comes to mind. Especially if MCW misses more then a month. The team has bascally zero offense and Wroten is bound to put up points. Probably similar to what MCW put up last year but with a couple more points per game.

Can you be more specific with the term "break out" who would you have considered as a player who broke out last year?

Due to the fact that Frye is gone I would put my money on Markieff Morris.

By breakout i mean what player do you think will finally go from promising player too living up too his potential, kind of like kyle lowry.. Everyone knew he was good before last year but he broke out and had a all star caliber year

    Wroten and morris mentioned.

I think Lamb. Maybe Norris Cole since lbj gone and chalmers is struggling. Ed Davis might break out if zac randolph misses games (which could happen).  Favors could blow up this year.

Keep an eye on Bogdanovic and/or Teletovic for the Nets…

Robin Lopez – He isn’t going to break out as such but i think he is underrated and under the radar atm

Steven Adams should continue to improve

I also think Rudy Gobert ends up averaging something along the lines of: 6.7 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 2.2 bpg

I’ve got Alec Burks as one, especially now that it’s pretty clear Exum isn’t all that ready yet for the NBA. He will play himself to a nice contract this season.

I think Tobias Harris turns into the face of that franchise in Orlando.

    Others I see breaking out:
    Giannis
    Markief
    Burks
    Wroten

    Deeper types:
    Schroder
    Bullock

Steven Adams, with the decline of Perkins Adams will be getting more playing maybe even start. Poised for a breakout year.

    Nerlens Noel

    John Henson

I see Solomon Hill having a breakout year this year because of the Paul George injury he will earn more minutes and have a chance to prove himself.

I think he will receive a lot of playing time in the attempt of keeping Pek healthy. Showed what he could do last year, and this summer. So far what I’ve seen this preseason, it looks like he isn’t slowing down.
