Jennings is apparently tight with rapper Joe Budden and Budden does a bit of his own web streaming. Jennings' Twitter page (before it was taken down) had a mention of trying to get on Joe Budden TV, the rapper's live video feed. You can see a cached version of the page here, including a few tweets that mention Budden by name.
On next season in Milwaukee ...
Budden: You better worry about Ramon Sessions, diggin' in your a**, pause.
Jennings: He's not going to be here. [inaudible] That money is going to Charlie.
Budden: N****, Ramon Sessions is gonna be there.
Jennings: I doubt it.
Budden: They ain't go no other guards.
Budden: N****, get that bum-a** n**** outta here.
Jennings: He's going to be a backup.
Budden: To who?
Jennings: To who? Who else n****?
On what happened on draft night ...
Budden: Who was hatin' on you?
Jennings: Jay Bilas.
Budden: What happened? You ran in the draft late or some dumb s*** like a loser?
Jennings: No, I was at the hotel. This is what happened right. My agent is like "Well, we ain't hear nothing .We ain't have no guarantee." So we makin' phone calls and s*** and n***** is saying like "The workouts is great and everything and he's the best point guard but we don't know yet, we just don't know."
Budden: They didn't say that about Rick Rubio, number one, and number two they didn't say you the best point guard. They said your jump shot is shaky, you got some potential, but your work ethic is bull****. You averaged 3 points.
Jennings: You're a liar. I know you're lying now.
Budden: I'm just telling you what they said.
Jennings: That ain't nothing but a college person.
Budden: Just tell me what happened. You end up running in the draft? I tunred it off after that.
Jennings: No, n****, I came out there and made my appearance n**** and I had the best appearance out of all them n******. And I was the best dressed, they said, by the way. I was the best dressed.
On whether he'll start next season ...
Budden: You think you gonna start for real though?
Jennings: I don't know, actually, I really don't know.
Budden: I heard that n**** Scott Skiles is an a**h***.
Jennings: That n**** tough, that n**** tough though. There must be a reason he liked me. There must be a reason.
On Ricky Rubio and the Knicks ...
Budden: Let me know when Minnesota get there. So I can watch Rubio light your f****** a** up. I never seen a n**** hate on Rubio so much.
Budden: You know what's funny? You're the only guard in the draft talking s*** about Rubio.
Jennings: The other n***** are scared.
Budden: What are you going to do when Rubio comes to the Knicks?
Jennings: Rubio is not coming, they are not giving up Rubio. You got Jordan Hill, you happy with that?
Budden: I don't really know enough about Jordan Hill to be happy ... I'm happy with Toney Douglas.
Jennings: I know they were booing this n****.
Budden: What does that mean? They boo everybody n****.
Jennings: If it was Stpehen Curry, them n***** would've went crazy in there.
Budden: Shut the f*** up, you don't even know nothing about New York basketball.
Jennings: F*** the Knicks, them n***** skipped out on me.
Budden: Oh man, you feel to the Knicks like I do about Jay-Z? [Laughs] Yo, the Knicks is your Jay-Z?
Jennings: F*** the Knicks, them n***** is always going to be weak.
Budden: This is where I f****** hang up on your f****** ass for talking stupid.
Jennings: Duhon ain't gonna get it done.
that sounds like the next Iverson.
so many n-words!!!!!!
Haha why do I get the feeling Scott Skiles & Jennings are not going to get along.
i do to. i live in milwaukee so i might see him play, not that i like th Bucks much.
More I see and read about this guy the more I dislike him. First his stupid (hype) maneuver at the Kings work out, then to not be invited to the green room and runs out on stage as he did from his Hotel room, at least the ones that happen to be there in the crowd were actually there........................ not run out from his Hotel to be the center of attention... I don't think he learned anything in Europe about being professional or mature. He really needs some people around him to tell him to shut up in the public until you have proven yourself..
I know negative (being hated) is just as good as being loved when it comes to earning money, but prove yourself first or you wont get paid squat..
just my 2 cents..
He was invited to the green room....He didnt have a promise so he left.....and then he came back
Man, Jennings is so cocky and stupid. Instead of complaining on why he isn't ranked as the number one pg, he should do something to work on his game. He has a lot of potential, but right now, he is just wasting it and making himself look like a fool.
Jennings Reminds Me Of Iverson.......But This Guy Got Some Major Problems, he 2 Cocky, he hates on players, and he overates himself........He he can just shot his mouth up for the remaining of the summer and show how good he is on the court he would probably be more liked.....But i have high hopes for this guy....he just got to control himself
Am I the only one that still thinks this guy is going to be something special?
Im here with you Auber...I like this guys cockiness. I hope hes good
also, check out NBADRAFTDAYCOUNTDOWN podcast man
I hate to tell Jennings but he can't f*&k with Sessions right now. Plus he just has sour grapes because the Knicks didn't want him. Haha he has to play for the Bucks. I would hate to play in Milwaukee for that organization. I hate his cockiness because he hasn't proved anything. He dissed Rubio, dissed Duhon, he is a straight hater. He just jealous cuz he isn't getting enough attention. Personally right now I think he is headed for failure. I think the Bucks will end up regretting that they passed on Holiday &or Earl Clark.
Real talk though Iverson was never a good shooter and supposely Jenning is as quick as Iverson was. I do think that going overseas may have humbled him enough to at least not be as big as a problem early on but he does need to not talk so much. Being good does not mean much if people dont like you. Just ask Artest.
wow.. at first i was thinkin that jennings just had alot confidence in himself, now its to the point on that he's takin things to far. yeah alot of people put him down for goin overseas but now that he's back in the U.S. and still got pick at 10th he should just work hard and enjoy the spot god has blessed him to be in
lol the dude is from compton
lol this made me laugh, i cant believe some of the stuff he said like my goodness yo BJ your a professional now you cant say that stuff. This is what i like about jennings tho, he speaks his mind
I really like the Bucks because of Skiles and Alexander. Afteri watched them some this season, I really started to enjoy them. This guy isnt going to be in a Bucks uni long of Skiles is going to coach long. He wont put up witht this kind of crap. Now, what happens when they resign Sessoins and Jennings rides the bench for a year like Alexander. He will demand a trade and we will have wasted a pick. Guy could be good but will be a cancer to any team he isnt getting eoungh shots. Yall are trying to say he is like Iverson?? I think he is more like Starbury.
Im a big Jennings fan and I really believed him when he said he matured over in Europe. Guess I was wrong. this kid still needs to learn about being a professional. He needs to learn that nothing he says is going to be private, especially saying it to a busted rapper like Joe Budden who will do anything to get a lil media attention. Grow up Jennings and quit folling around with guys like this because if you don't you may never reach ur full potential, because no team wants to deal with a player like this. U can think ur the best but keep it to yourself. "The loudest one in the room is the weakest one in the room" remember that
he thinks hes gangster, that will really hurt his career, dont be suprised if he gets a lot of suspensions.
First off, Jennings doesnt think he's a gangster. He has a definite swag that most of these other players dont have. He speaks his mind about other players, which is a double edged sword. Jennings is competitive and he doesnt bite his tongue, which is kind of what you want in a PG. He will be a leader. I think he will be special because he has all the talent in the world and he isnt going to let himself underachieve. I dont think he will be a discipline problem, though. He doesnt seem like the type that will get suspended, but he may be in a coach like Skiles' doghouse because he will make his share of mistakes as all young players do.
The team should let Sessions walk and sighn Charlie. Ridnour will be a back up. I disagree with Budden calling Ridnour a bum because he is not. He would be one of the best back up points around he is solid. Jennings will have problems with Skiles though if he spends his time on twitter talking to hasben rappers instead of working on his game. Beside that I like Jennings because he's real. He needs to be careful of what he says though.
Gator, Chris Duhon in my mind couldn't lick the swamp ass off of Brandon Jennings. It's not even close.
Haha Scott Skiles is gonna hate him so much. I hope he benches him.
Man I love BJ even more after that...why are all u guys hating on him??
He has an Allen Iverson swagger that you won't find anywhere else...he speaks his mind & doesn't care if he hurts your feelings, that's the kind of leader I'd want running my team!!!
Duhon & Ridnour couldn't touch him on their best days & he knows it, and I'm pretty sureif they were bringing back Sessions they wouldn't have drafted another PG...I hate that he got picked by MIL, because he's not gonna get to truly shine there, but once he gets to a better situation(cuz there's no way Skiles is gonna be able to handle him for 4-5 years)...but this guy can flat out ball & it'll show once gets to a better situation!!!
Auber- yeah I know I personally hate Chris Duhon as a player mainly because I hate all Duke players but yeah Jennings is better but....it is disrespectful to call out nba players who have been in the league for a while when Jennings hasn't even played a pro game yet. He can't say s*#t about any player in the league yet.
I think Brandon Jennings will be another TJ Ford. His upside is off the charts though. If he had strength, he'd be able to challenge D Rose for most athletic PG ever.
Keep in mind, this is the player that had something like 22 assists on one game on the KNICKS, the KNICKS. Keep in mind this is the player that also played with injuries most of last season on a roster that had only 8-10 players most of the time because of injuries. This kid has &$#%#&@! heart, and to know that he still tries on Knicks team that aint going nowhere, and gives it his all, thats some class right there. Also, Joe Budden is no longer a has been rapper, his newest(not that new) CD is amazing, but of course no one that likes that mainstream &$#%#&@! will like it. If you want, go youtube "pray for me" by him, one of the most amazing songs i have ever heard, and a breath of fresh air in this STUPID ass era of music we call hip hop.
Is Chris Duhon a great player? I mean he isnt irreplaceable. I know I would rather have Jennings over him any day of the week
Lil JKwon, I have to disagree with you POV. I agree, BJ may be the second coming of AI, but is that actuallly a good thing on the court. Yes, he's a guy who gives you his all every night, and he's racked up a few MVPs (1 league, 2 all star i believe), but NO CHAMPIONSHIPS!!! A guy who quits on his team becuz he's too proud to come off the bench, and needs 30 shots to score 30 points. BJ could be AI, but if his game is as bad as his Euro league stats were, then he could also make Luke Ridnour look like John Stockton. So if you're into guys that aim for individual achievements in a team sport, then my friend, you have a winner in Brandon Jennings. Why dont you just go ahead and follow him on twitter, becuz he's gonna have alot of time to do that while he's sitting beside the assistant coaches on the bench. Until I see some real production out of him, im gonna have to say that Jennings will end up just like the real JKwon, quickly forgotten.
And it doesnt matter if he's in Milwaukee, NY, LA, Memphis, Miami, Europe, or in my backyard, if he's as good as he thinks he is, then he'll get his numbers regardless. Look at Kevin Durant. Oklahoma City was a joke this past season, but he still found a way to get his 25 PPG. He emerged as the leader of that team, and he will be for years to come, unless they decide to not pay him (which would be dumb!) That's how you shine in the darkness.
I agree with jhong on duhon. The guy plays hard and brings his all every game. He is not the most talented guy in the world, but you know that he's giving you everything he has every game. You have to respect that. True the guy is better as a backup, but he's holding his own for a team that wasn't stocked with tons of talent as well. There are tons of teams that would love to have a guy like him on their team.
goodsonthe do you really think that Derrick Rose is the most point guard ever? That's a big statement. He wasn't even the most athletic point guard in his class , Russell Westbrook was.
By the way, whoever the GM is for the Bucks must be stupid. Do they really think that Scott Skiles will play this kid? I am guessing the hope is that Skiles will get in his a** and get his head straightened out. I can already see the daily fights between the two.
I hate mainstream hip hop too. So don't cry that I called him a hasben cause he is. Saigon smoked him he is a bum. He ran his mouth about Method Man too he is a sucker who is talking ISH because he is a bum and can't handle it.
Scout- you gotta listen to some Drake man...thats some real hip-hop
I'm starting to like him a little bit. The last line of that conversation cracked me up. "Duhan ain't gonna get it done." That is just awesome.
Also props to Budden for sticking up for Rubio.
That just seems like an everyday conversation to me. That is real talk. Sure he is cocky but atleast he wasn't trying to put down or embarrass anybody in front of the media. I'm still not sure about his game and maturity but this conversation isn't anything to worry about.
Let him be him. He will produce, the talking he's doing isnt going to effect him in the L. What, Chris Duhon is going to show up Jennings on the court? Is Rubio going to foul Jennings hard when he drives the lane? Both of those are no's.
I ain't crying over nothing. I'm just saying his new CD is realer then 99% of the &$#%#&@! out there. I don't think he is a has been, as his older &$#%#&@! is worse then his new CD, I mean Pump it Up? Come on. His new CD is too good, if you listened to the one track I posted, you might agree. If he talking &$#%#&@! about Meth tho, thats wack, cuz I bleed Wu Tang killa bee poison. Drake is aight too, I'm kinda feeling Kid Cudi too. I'm all about Outkast, old Nas, Wu Tang, Pac. The new &$#%#&@! all sound the same, and all sound garbage. And about Duhon, I think Brandon Jennings is a better PLAYER then Duhon, like if they go 1 on 1, Jennings could probably win. But I think Duhon is better for a TEAM. He makes his teammates better with distribution, and he plays for his team. I would like to see BJ play with back injuries. I'm not hating on BJ, hes gonna be good one day, but for a team, I go Duhon.
What a f%^#$n idiot. I like him and his ability but what a dumbass to dis the knicks like that. He's already labeled a locker room poison.
He's a 19 year old from Compton who skipped college... what did ppl expect... but truthfully if you honestly got to read other players personal messages with friends might learn a few things about them we wouldnt like either lol
