I.C.Y.U.NV.MEParticipantTo say the least, he’s played poorly. Even if he picks it up throughout the season, I still think he needs another year in college. He just isn’t strong enough. Most of his struggles so far stem from his inability to handle the physicality of the college level. It will only be worse in the league. He would get bullied out there. He also hasn’t showcased much of a jumper with the exception of the Bryant game. Maybe that has to do with lack of confidence? Idk. All I know is, I haven’t seen any semblance of a one and done player in him so far.

whiteflashParticipantJust like that vid where the kid from UT "touched the top of the backboard", Ingram’s vert is a sham. It’s all smoke and mirror angles. Both those dude’s were well over a foot off their reported marks.

Make’Em Say UGHParticipantWhat’s ironic, is that this is bad news for the opposition. Ingram staying another year to join the class of 2016 is going to be trouble. Hopefully he gets better and gets out of here. (from a tarheels perspective haha)

Kokayne_DawkinzParticipantYeah right now it looks like everyone but Allen, Marshall, and Jefferson will be back and that could mean trouble for everyone else. I still thinks he ends up declaring based on potential and possibly having a smaller role in the offense next year with the arrival of Tatum, Giles, and Jackson

Magic JordanParticipantAccording to T-Rex… by far head and shoulders a better prospect than Ben Simmons because Simmons "can’t" shoot.
lol.

FrankStalloneI didn’t say far superior, but your casual dismissal of superior length and a 3 point shot is what tricked you into thinking Porzingis wasn’t/isn’t an Anthony Davis level prospect, and D’Angelo Russell was a solid pick at NUMBER 2.
Number two, fitting, isn’t it?
All because Randle was so awesome that Porzingis or Okafor didn’t make sense, lol.

Magic JordanParticipantI know you think highly of me, but I didn’t make the pick of Russell at number 2. I had multiple people ahead of him.
We all know you discovered Porzingis. I wasn’t fortunate enough to travel to Europe last season to unearth such a gem as you did.
I was, and still am a fan of Porzingis even though you discovered him, and he wasn’t picked by the Lakers.
Imagine that.

FrankStallonethat’s the right attitude. Don’t blame me for noticing Dlo wasn’t an nba athlete and never will be.
Keep up the level headedness, Be like Porzingis, level headed.
I bet you even realize that my ADavis-PZingis comparison was accurate.
If not, speak up so I can throw it in your face in the next days/months.

SkalAndJamalParticipantThis length and 3-point is quite odd because isnt D’Angelo the 6’5 PG with a 6’10 wingspan as well as having a better 3-point% than Porzingis?

I.C.Y.U.NV.MEParticipantYeah, I could see him leaving off of potential..but his draft stock is plummeting fast. He’ll have a diminished role, but it would give him a chance to prove he can handle physicality. It would also help his defense, since he could focus on that and not carry the oressure of HAVING to score. I honestly see him as a 2 guard in the long run, so he could also work on his handle.

RUDEBOY_Participanta reporter with a carolina tv station asked a duke assistant after the game yesterday why ingram was benched? his reply was coach k hasnt been pleased with his defensive effort and he doesnt seem focused on the court.
based on potential,i think he’s amongst the 3 best prospects.i think we’ll see a different player after he gets what the coaching staff expects from him.

markfitz14ParticipantHmm well thats not good really not good if a coach is saying its effort. That is media slang for hes not doing what Coach K is coaching him to do. Could be a red flag for either attitude problem or a lack of game IQ. He is going to start dropping in the mock drafts then.
He just went from 2 to 5 in my mock. I can’t let lack of effort go.

ncballerI know for a fact he told all coaches recruiting him he was pretty much gone after one year, FWIW. That could for sure change if he comtinues to play below expectations. As a UNC fan, I want him gone after this year. He is not going to play like this consistently. His best years are ahead of him.

FrankStalloneThat second game of the year probably went straight to his head, so he’s going through a Kelly Oubre style attitude adjustment, courtesy of Coach K.
Hopefully he responds well, because there’s no guarantee.
All the talent in the world though.

SkalAndJamalParticipantIt’s going to be hard for him to come back in the starting lineup since Allen is really balling and Jones was just starting on last years championship team. Itll be scary to see him next year tho with a healthy Giles and Tatum.

terrancebowerParticipantHe reminds me of Kelly Oubre last year (and to a lesser extent James Young the year before). He had a really high stock coming in (one of those “As talented as anyone in his class when he’s focused” kind of guys) but it look him a while to get rolling. Even then, he became good, but not great, towards the end of the year, though he showed enough flashes to be a mid first rounder on potential (length, shooting form, athleticism, size). I think the same could happen for Ingram. I could see him averaging 12 points per game on the year but still being taken late lottery to a team willing to develop him.
The season in young so he could easily turn it on and be a legit top 5 pick still, but if not I think he’ll follow a similar path as Oubre in terms of the draft. I don’t see him coming back for a year unless his struggles get worse.

terrancebowerParticipantFor sure, he’s a couple inches taller making him see more “mismatchy”, but I’m just comparing their stocks not saying their games are identical. Also, I’m saying he’ll slip to late lotto (hypothetically) rather than out of the lotto entirely like Young and Oubre, because I’m thinking since he’s more versatile like you said, he’ll probably get drafted a couple slots higher.

TarHeelRavenParticipantWith Jayson Tatum coming in next year for Duke I can’t see Ingram staying. The question is where will he be drafted. You can say what you want about Duke and Coach K, some hate Duke, some love Duke, but you can never say that Duke guys don’t play hard. Ingram is considered a laid back guy, but he just isn’t playing hard. I think it’s been a shock to him the step up in level of competition from Kinston, where he was just bigger than everyone and did all those spin moves on his highlight tapes and could take the ball to the basket at will to college where he is probably the weakest guy on the court and guys are just as quick and athletic as him, if not more. Some guys are ready to contribute right away in college like Anthony Davis and Jahlil Okafor. Some guys take longer. It sounds like Ingram has his head on wrong, concentrating on just coming in, being a one and done and going to the league instead of working on his game, playing hard and competing. Grayson Allen balled out this weekend. While I don’t think he can keep that up all year, I’m surprised it was Grayson playing like a stud and Ingram coming in tentative. I thought it would be the other way around. Brandon has a lot to learn as a man about being a ball player. Of course I’m a Carolina fan and wanted Ingram to be with us in Chapel Hill, but K is one of the all-time greats and if there is anyone who can turn Ingram around, it’s him.

ncballerI will be the first to eat crow about Allen. I compared him to Andre Dawkins. Allen came off the bench for his AAU team and looked like the 3rd best player behind Russell and Berry. I didn’t think he had "it" mentally, but he is proving me wrong.

I.C.Y.U.NV.MEParticipantI’m not concerned with his talent. That’s never been in question. It’s whether or not he is ready to take a beating night in and night out from grown men. He doesn’t have his head on straight and isn’t focused, but even when he finally does get his head on straight that won’t give him 25 lbs of muscle.

tuck243Participantall share the same type of athletic ability to me. They’re just long… You can see how good a player can get up not by their dunks on people in HS, but where their heads are compared to the rim. All 3 of their heads fall short of the rim in any of their dunks. I think this is the biggest indicator of athleticism…
