For my Celtics fans out there and non Celtics fans, is it now time to panic? Celtics currently hold a 9-7 record which puts them at 5 on the eastern conference standings. I understand it’s early and it’s going to be tough to implement both Kyrie and especially Gordon back into the lineup, but it seems to me that it’s probably best to shake up the starting five by having Hayward come off the bench as a sixth man and start Baynes or Morris. I think I would consider baynes replacing Gordon as the starter over Morris just off as last years season wheen he was the full time starter at the center position when Gordon got hurt or just keep switching off the two of them depending on the matchup. Thoughts on Rozier? I thought he could of potentially be a six man of the year candidate based of his play as a starter last season. He seems to have hit rock bottom when he’s not starting, he had one start against Utah this season in which he scored 22 points. Morris is probably having the best season out of the bunch besides Kyrie. We do hold the Kings pick which we convey if it lands between 2-5, and I’m not in the belief that Kings will sustain this level of play. Who’s a good fit for this squad Zion, RJ, Jahkigh Dottin, Bol Bol, thoughts?

I think C’s would get a great benefit from a true big man, a true C. Not so easy to get one, i know.

The Kings pick comes over to Celtics unless it’s no 1 and then Philly get it.

The idea that Hayward goes to 6th man is interesting as he is still working his way back after his injury, I think they wait a few more games yet.

I was surprised they didn’t make a strong pitch to Tyson Chandler when he was waived but he seemed set on going to the Lakers.

Its been a rough start for sure but I’m not panicking. I have no idea why their 3 point shooting has collapsed so much but basically is struggling with Rozier and Brown being especially bad from 3 to start the season. With that said, this team still has #1 defense, they are in no danger of missing the playoffs, they have already beaten 76ers, Raptors, Bucks, and lost to Indiana in Indiana by 1 on a Oladipo game winner. When they play their best they look like they’re going to be really good but they have had some bad outings so far. While I think Hayward long term will get back to normal, its clear he needs to come off the bench and let either Baynes or Morris start depending on that matchup. Also Semi Ojele deserves more minutes too.

Celts needs athletic center with size and maybe a pass first- defense mined pg off the bench. It is time to trade Rozier and bring Hayward or Tatum off the bench. There are too many offensive minded guys on the time and the dept may be hurting chemistry and rhythm. Also we were too quick to anoint Tatum and Brown as superstars. Last year there was no pressure on them now they are expected to produce and both are struggling, though I think in time they will find their niche again.  Morris and Kyrie as really been the only guys that are showing up

Big centers really hurt the celts . Celts really need that size.

Is it time to panic? Heck no.

Hayward is slowly looking better, Irving is still an insane talent & Tatum is adjusting to life with those 2 on the roster, given how unselfish Hayward is, he should find his fit as 3rd option & I’d likely give him plenty of burn with 2nd unit as primary scorer as well.

What I would be doing is hitting that trade market dangling Brown & Rozier (unless AD suddenly becomes available) to bring in some nice veteran guys who fill needs on the roster.

I think a legit defensive option at C would be a good option (Targets: Myles Turner, Derrick Favors)
A passing PG to run the 2nd unit as well as play minutes next to Irving. (Targets: Spencer Dinwiddie, JJ Barea – averaging high in assists, Corey Joseph – heck of a defender)
A pure shooter to fit the 2nd unit as well (Targets: Korver, McDermott, Justin Holiday, Terrence Ross)

LOL Bostons fine. Still the favourites out East depending on health and home seed between them and Toronto. Relax.

B/c Irving is the best pure shot Maker at the guard position we’ve seen since Allen Iverson

Celtics have some really good players & they are deep but they only have One guy who will consistently but up 25 – 30 points a game & when the game gets tight Late Kyrie can get his shot No matter What!

Kyrie bailed out the C’s about 3X already or it could be worse.

The C’s get that Kings pick no matter where it lands as long as it lands after #1…. but I really think it’s gonna be just like the Lakers pick in 2018 (which was 2-5) – like LA in 2018 the 2019 Kings have Zero incentive to Tank & b/c there will be at Least 6 – 8 teams Tanking & Maybe More b/c Zion & Barrett look like Real potential NBA Stars – there could be as many as a Dozen teams just saying screw it after the All Star break – so I think that Kings pick is prob late Lottery in the 10 – 14 range

The East is Really up for Grabs & it looks like the Dubs might have Real issues – all 4 of those Top Eastern Conf teams have One Legit Super Star MVP candidate in Kawhi, Giannis, Kyrie & Embiid & a bunch of good players behind them so it Might be up to the GM of each team to go out & get another Star –

Phila already got a bona fide All Star close in Jimmy Butler (I know they are thin on the bench but teams can always add Vet bench help & Phila has all their future 1st Rnd picks plus a bunch of 2nds & an Unprotected Miami 1st. Boston obviously has a Ton of Ammo to go get a 2nd All Star to…..

I know people will say that Jason Tatum & Ben Simmons are All Stars too & I agree but both are still too young & inconsistent to carry a team on their back. Gordon Hayward might need an Entire season to get back to what he was & even then he might Never be the same – so Boston might need to make a block buster trade combining a Player or Two & a couple picks to go out & get a Legit 2nd Option Veteran All Star scorer,

Def Not time to Panic though – the Reg season is Grind & Boston is Deep w/ a Lot of Very talented players & as the season unfolds they will rise to 50+ wins but Milwaukee, Toronto & Phila and maybe even Indiana too are going to be right there all year – The East is Def the Better Conference this year. After Golden State there is Not a single West Conf team Any of that Big 4 in the East would be afraid of

Celtics get Bol Bol and they will be a very good team for a number of years. Id target him with the Kings pick and throw in something extra to move up if necessary.

The real win though would be to get the Pelicans to bite on an AD trade, something like Rozier, Baynes, Kings pick and Tatum.

    Irving Brown Hayward Davis Horford
    Smart Morris

    Rozier Holiday Tatum Mirotic Baynes
    Moore Randle

I can’t see any reason for the Celtics to panic honestly. It takes time to integrate good players and that’s basically what the Celtics have to do. Gordon Hayward also adjusting to playing again after missing a year due to injury. If after 40 games they’re at .500 then I’d start to worry.
