nath09ParticipantIn an interview about what happened and contacting Mirotic this gem came out of his mouth.
"Only thing I can control is myself at this point"
Really?
Why start now?!?!?
LMAO

GBeeParticipantAt least provide a little bit of context to the quote. Bobby reached out to Niko to apologize. Niko didn’t respond and didn’t return the call/text. Mirotic’s camp gives the Bulls an ultimatum, basically saying either him or Bobby goes. Portis responds by saying that he’s moved on and the only thing he can do is put in work. He’s not bothered by rumors of the ultimatum and the prospect of him being traded, hence: "Only thing I can control is myself…"
Sounds a bit less ridiculous when put into context.
It should be noted that it’s Bobby, not Niko, who has the teammates’ support. That in itself provides a little insight into what really went down. It gives some validation to the rumor that it was Mirotic who instigated the fight, which, given how it ended sounds emasculating af.

Insane13ParticipantThe Bulls organization is just terrible. Portis should be traded for Okafor. Might as well try to get something for him.

EndlessknightParticipantCan’t see either team agreeing to that deal. The Sixers have no use for Portis.

220ParticipantShort of getting everyone fully healthy the 76ers have no active need currently. Portis would be as useful as anyone they’re likely to get in return for Okafor.

The GoatParticipantAgree, he would be a good complement next to Embiid, with Bob and JJ on the wings, Simmons at point. Second unit led by Fultz and Saric will be a strong one. That’s a top 4 seed team in the East.

EndlessknightParticipantTrue but there is no way the Bulls do that deal, especially since the Sixers declined Okafor’s option. Portis has way more trade value than Okafor.
