IndianaBasketballParticipantIs anybody else watching this game? I know the Lakers vs Knicks are also on right now.
The big three have had good games, but the Blazers are playing the Heat tough. Other than the big three, nobody else on the Heat can get anything. The Blazers are leading 62 to 58 with less than four minutes in the third.
I don’t think the Blazers get enough credit as being a great defensive team. Even with their franchise player out, this team is still very good. I don’t think people should just automatically assume this team won’t be in the playoffs. It may be crazy to say, but I think the Blazers are somewhat better in the half-court without Roy. It’s not as stagnant.

gregoden08ParticipantDeserves to be an all-star. I’m not saying he will be, but he certaintly should be. He has taken the next step and is rebounding/playing inside way more than he was last year.

IndianaBasketballParticipantYea… I was wrong about Aldridge. With Roy out, the Blazers need him to take that next step and he’s doing it.
I like what Batum has done vs LeBron tonight.

gregoden08ParticipantBatum is playing well. When he hits his jumpers, he has plenty of confidence. He is just very inconsistent.

Bvilleballer21ParticipantLeBron…He wants this…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/09/2011 - 6:26pm #473385
IndianaBasketballParticipantAnd so does Wade lol. That crossover on Mills was sickening.

Bvilleballer21ParticipantBosh can’t play D to save his life, Jeez…That’s gonna be an issue in the playoffs. LA is playing well but he’s not the kind of back to the basket player that Bosh is making him look like…

TyrekeJonesParticipantAldridge has really willed his team to get wins with Roy being out. Batum is a great player, just inconsistent, he is a great perimeter defender and great shooter. It was the same case last year with this team, even dispite injuries, the Blazers still find ways to win, gotta give Nate McMillan a lot of credit with working with what hes got.

IndianaBasketballParticipantAldridge can get whatever he wants against Bosh.

omphalosParticipantThis is a great finish, cheers for the tip, I wasn’t watching until now. Love my countryman Patty Mills getting minutes down the stretch.

IndianaBasketballParticipantNow THAT’S where the Blazers miss Roy…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/09/2011 - 6:33pm #473395
Bvilleballer21ParticipantI wonder if LeBron can keep this up in OT…Haven’t seen him close out a game like that in a while..

IndianaBasketballParticipantBatum FINALLY takes a charge vs LeBron.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/09/2011 - 6:38pm #473398
omphalosParticipantI almost feel like the charge called on Lebron was a make-up call after the missed block on the other end. Lebron gets away with charges way too much.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/09/2011 - 6:40pm #473400
IndianaBasketballParticipantYea… Some of those fouls called against Batum late in the fourth were VERY suspect.
However, LeBron is CLOSING the Blazers out something serious.

omphalosParticipantThat three was a dagger… ouch.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/09/2011 - 6:49pm #473407
IndianaBasketballParticipantWow… This is the best I’ve ever seen LeBron in the clutch.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/09/2011 - 6:49pm #473408
TyrekeJonesParticipantWow, clutch three by Lebron, and that travel against Aldridge was a killer.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/09/2011 - 6:51pm #473410
Bvilleballer21ParticipantDang. Respect for LBJ…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/09/2011 - 6:53pm #473411
IndianaBasketballParticipantYea… His late game play was insane. He looked like a killer, all while looking like it was simple at the same time.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/09/2011 - 6:58pm #473414
OldSkoolBasketballParticipantThe dude is a villian. You guys see him taunt the crowd after he hit the three? I love it.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/09/2011 - 6:59pm #473415
IndianaBasketballParticipantI guess he’s embraced his role as a villian lol.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/09/2011 - 7:16pm #473417
Pro-21ParticipantLBJ is the best
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/09/2011 - 7:18pm #473418
TyrekeJonesParticipantI feel at this point in time he has accepted his role as a villian, was kinda funny/cool the way he taunted the crowd as they were booing him
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/09/2011 - 8:19pm #473440
omphalosParticipantAgreed that Lebron has embraced the role. Wrote this article a few weeks ago about it funnily enough.

I was looking through all your articles and that’s a good looking blog, I’ll probably check that out some more in the future.

omphalosParticipantCheers for the feedback guys, I started it up to keep me involved during a long-term injury but it’s been a lot of fun to write even now that I’m healthy. I hurt my neck balling yesterday so there’ll probably be another post up in the next couple of days haha.
