love picks up 2 quick fouls so we might not get to see much of the matchup. First foul was real ticky tack but i didnt see the second one.

First time, and probably the only time Love will go to the half without a rebound. De’Andre and Blake with ten offensive boards too. The Clippers are using their size tonight, and blake is just abusing the Timberwolves.

love did get 1 board at the buzzer before the half. Blake is defenitely having more of an impact and out performing love. But it isnt really the showdown i was hoping for. Love got a quick couple fouls and he hasnt been matched up on blake since, wolves are using darko on blake.

    halftime stats:

    blake griffin: 21 pts…7reb…2ast…9/16fgs…19mins

    love: 10pts…0reb…1ast…4/6fgs…12mins

ALthough im not sure why they have love down for zero rebounds. I just rewound the game to make sure i wasnt seeing things and he grabbed a rebound at the end of the half.

Good thing there is two halves in basketball.

On a side note to anyone watching this game, how bad is Johnny Flynn?

And 5 turnovers.  Not to mention his defense is horrible and his dribbles get him absolutely no where.  There was a series where he first gave Bledsoe a wide open three, he didn’t even contest it.  Then on the offensive end, Love sets a pick and pops out and is left wide open, but Flynn hits the corner and looks to drive instead against two guys with his eyes looking straight down to the floor boards and he throws some garbage pass that gets picked off and leads to an Eric Gordon breakaway dunk.

Kahn said that he still isn’t 100 percent recovered from his hip injury so who knows, maybe he’ll turn things around at some point this season.

"Love is now all alone in the double double count"

And Love’s double double was meaningless. At one point did you EVER think his team was going to win? Other than a small run, they were never in the game. Even though Gordon missed most of the first half, the T-Wolves still were never in the game.

Griffin didn’t even have to play much in the second half and was taken out of the fourth quarter with almost four minutes remaining because the Clippers had the victory. That’s what matters in the NBA. WINS, not double doubles. Love played enough minutes in a clear loss to pick up his stats… Whoopty do.

Love is a good player, but stop putting him in Griffin’s league. It’s NOT close, so just quit it.

As much as i think Griffin is a lot better a player then Love. The Clippers in general have a much more talented team then what the Wolves do.

Davis V Ridnour= Davis by a long shot while he’s motivated.

Gordon V Brewer= Gordon has offensive firepower, Brewer is just a very weak defender

Beasley V Gomes= Beasley is a weak defender to date, but is their primary scorer alongside Love

Love V Griffin= Love would struggle against Griffin purely on the fact Griffin is way too athletic for him. But Love would still do his part on offense.

Milicic V Jordan= Milicic is like a full moon, he only occasionally shows up to play, Jordan has been consistent of late and has been a force on the boards.

The Clippers have a very talented team, just little leadership. The Wolves have basically 2 players which show up regularly and it’s hard for any team to get wins when this is the case. While Griffin is a better player then Love i don’t think the gap is overall that big.

"i don’t think the gap is overall that big."

Watch the games and don’t just look at statistics. YES, it is. There was one play during the game where Griffin through the ball off of the glass and beat both Love and Milicic to his own miss and tip dunked it before they could even get off of their feet.

Look at the way Griffin gets double and triple teamed (they’re doubling him every way possible) and watch how calmly he dribbles out and makes the RIGHT pass. Did you see the way he took the ball full court, spinned off of Brewer and dunked the ball? Do you watch how hard he runs the floor every single possession damn near? Or how his energy rubs off on his teammates? Or how he’s started to make jumpshots (he hit a three-pointer)? He has the ability to play with his back to the basket or face up.

Yes… The gap may not be huge, but it’s big enough. And Griffin has only played half of an NBA season. He gets better every single game.

yeah they definatly are a team with just two players. Flynn has disappointed me. I thought he’s be like bobby jackson for this team. Love and Blake have shown they cant be stopped as far as scorers no matter who you put on them. Love is unmatched as a rebounder. Blake is unmatched athletically and has uncanny handles for someone his size and is a very very good passer

As far as Blake and Love. Blake is wayy more athletic then Love but the skill department is not far or way off. They just do things differently. I like love because he doesn’t have the physcial tools Blake has so its harder for him to score or rebound yet he does it just as well and even better than Blake in the rebounding department. I like Blake because he is athletic but also skilled and has a very high motor. Neither player has even got near there prime or potential ( don’t forget they are actually from the same class). I’m amazed by what Blake does out there on the court and im just as amazed with Love because he does it without being able to jump as high in a game or be as quick or strong or as intimidating.  Both are clearly future Allstars and should have many battles to come as the years go by

Blake Griffin to me just by watching the game is better than Love is. Love is probably a better rebounder and jump shooter, but he’s not a better basketball player by any stretch. Griffin is a better and far more impressive finisher, just as good a passer (which continues to surprise me, never knew he was the passer he is), and he’s already a notch or 2 better on D. Griffin will be a superstar, Kevin Love seems like a 6th man on a truly good team.

I think Blake is a All around better player but Love is not a 6th man by any stretch. He’s a starting PF Allstar. He can score with just about any other PF and rebound’s better then any other player in the Leauge.

K Love isnt a 6th man or an all star. Hes somehwer ein the middle, closer to all star. But until he shows any interest in stopping anybody, or any interest in winning games, he isnt an all star. Blake is upping his game a whole nother level. As are the clippers.

And i told yall Jonny Flynn sucked.

How hasnt he showed interest in winning games?…he shows interest in defense but he just isnt that godo at it, Although you dont have to be a good defender to be a allstar or even a MVP ( Steve Nash)

Just like Blake, Eric Gordan, Monte Ellis Love isn’t a Allstar if you include team record But talent wise he is there. He scores on Any PF and thats with the whole team defense designed to stop him and one other player and without a very good point guard and he is the best rebounding PF in the NBA

i think griffin is better, but it aint that far off. THe wolves were horrible last night. They couldnt buy a jumper while bledsoe, gomes and gordan were all knocking down jumpers for the clippers so nots act like this was all on love. And no way is love a bench player iggy, thats absurd.
