grizz32Participant29 points and 9 rebounds is pretty good.
He also had a +/- of -37 though. Stats are great and all but when it comes down to it your team can’t be outscored by 37 points when your in the game.

aamir543ParticipantWow, that just magnifies how god awful he is at defense. If he wants to go to the next level, he’s going to have adequetly defend his position. But -37, wow. The next worse is half as much at -19 and -17 for Mo Will and CP3. The Clips will have a bit of a learning curve, but in the long run, I really like their potential for even this season. They just need to play better defense, and control the paint. And it all begins with perimeter players. If guys like Chauncey and CP3 can’t keep guys from penetrating, than guys like Blake adn DeAndre are helpless. If they step up to prevent Tony Parker from pulling up, than Blair is just going to sneak backdoor and there is nothing they can do about that. The thought of Chauncey playing the 2 seemed like it would be great offensively, hoever defensively he is going to have a really dificult time having to guard bigger two guards, like Kobe and Rip, and just the typical two guard that’s at elast an inch or two taller than him.
And the -37 is a bit misleading. he was probably the only starter in when the Spurs made their huge run in the third quarter, wehre the Spurs outscored them by 21, and was out when the Clips made some runs.

IndianaBasketballParticipantJordan getting roasted by Blair didn’t help…
That +/- stat is very misleading because Griffin was the only player who did anything… Everybody else sucked.
Ginboli DESTROYED Billups. The combo of Ginobli, Parker and Jefferson outplayed Paul, Billups and Butler significantly.
Paul is a great player, but still looks like he’s lost a step at both ends.
And as usual, Vinny was outcoached.

lalailaParticipantyes i agree with Indiana..with all the love for Paul pure point guard as a overall player he isn’t that top5 espn’s ranked and above Rose..
he is the piece what Griffin would need in the future , not Griffin is what Paul needed
