Blue team was PG Andrew, SG Aaron, SF Lyles, PF Lee, C KAT, 6M Hawkins.
White team PG Ulis, SG Booker, SF Poythress, PF WCS, C Dakari, 6M Willis.Same as was suspected after Bahamas, except WCS and KAT switching sides.
SF spot looked really good, both Poy and Lyles played well.
****************Lyles handled the ball, ran plays as facilitator, defended the outside and made 3s.
REPLAY on SEC Network at 11pm EST-8pm PST.

Kinguy11ParticipantI thought Lyles was a PF? If he can play SF, is this simply because of team need or is it possible that he can play the 3 at NBA level.

so Cal has him playing it 90% of the time. he is 6-10, but has a combo forward style game.
He is kind of the opposite kind player Julius Randle is/was. Lyles uses skilled ball handling, a great jumper, run in transition, and good 3pt shot instead of a post up/bully ball.
He could play a Bosh style PF, but is more valuable playing like Jabari Parker/Rodney Hood/Harrison Barnes/Perry Jones did as college SF.

imAboutDatActionParticipantIts because they need him to.
He lacks the lateral quickness on the perimeter for both ends. He won’t blow by anybody and he will struggle to defend SF’s.

TarHeelRavenParticipantKentucky is going to be elite this year, everyone knows that….Am I the only one who thinks Drake needs to stop fronting for Calipari and Kentucky? I’ve grown sick of hearing about him constantly on TV when Kentucky basketball is mentioned. Maybe if he could hoop, but that airball in the pre-game warmup didn’t look good. Stick to your day job Drake.

doubledribblerParticipantDrake is like a basketball groupie. I understand why Calipari lets him around the team though. Whether you like Drake or not he adds to the "cool" factor of coming to Kentucky to play and he is probably one of the few mainstream guys in rap that Calipari could trot out and the majority of fans be ok with it. With all that said, he can give all the motivational speeches he wants, but if he doesn’t join the coaching staff or he’s not doing some kind of half time performance, he should never set foot on that court. I’m not a Kentucky fan, but they have a had too many great players, teams and seasons to need to trot out a promotional gimmick. Kentucky basketball tends to stand on it’s own just fine. There is no way he should be out on the court with those guys that put in the work to earn their spot on the team. That is an insult to them. Who knows, didn’t Drake also get a championship ring from Kentucky?

JoeWolf1I wonder if Drake uses his role as "Jimmy" on Degrassi as his background as a ball player.

TarHeelRavenParticipantI agree with you doubledribbler. There is absolutely no reason that Drake should be out on the court in warm-ups with the team. He is not on team, he doesn’t do all the running, pre-season conditioning, weight-lifting that the team does. He has no business being on the court. He could emcee, but that’s it. It still drives me crazy that Calipari uses him as a prop to get recruits. “Come to UK and you can meet Drake!!!!” Kentucky basketball should be able to stand on it’s own without using a massively overrated performer to get recruits. I am not a Calipari fan by any stretch of the imagination nor will I ever be. On the flip side, the man is a recruiting and salesman genius. You absolutely cannot argue with the results he gets. As long as Cal is in Lexington, UK basketball will always be relevant.
