OT starting now! It’s been a good year for football. The National Championship game Clemson vs. Alabama was great followed up by this beauty. The fact that its Brady’s chance to solidify himself as the best QB with 5 titles and the first overtime game ever with an epic Patriots comeback. Where does it rank?

The best. Tom Brady was in God mode in the last few minutes of the game. Unbelievable

I feel so bad for the Falcons. They actually thought they were going to win this game.

I knew it was over once Edleman made that catch off the deflection. Insane comeback

I don’t feel bad for Atlanta, they got too cocky. Why continue to pass when you’re in field goal range and not run the ball when freeman has been eating all game? Tom Brady is officially the GOAT no more arguments there.

Lowkey, I will forever believe that professional sports are rigged if this year’s Stanley Cup winner comes back from a 1-3 deficit.  With that, the Cavs, Cubs, and the Super Bowl… There will be no doubt in my mind. Lol

Nah man. As much as I believe sports are rigged you can’t even blame this one on the refs. Those holding penalties were legit. There was also a facemask that didnt get called. If anything that pass interference at the goal line was kind of iffy but let’s be real here as soon as the Patriots won the coin toss this game was over they would have scored without that call. Brady was not to be denied he motivated his team and got his offensive line to start blocking. He took some hits in this game that would literally make me question all of life.

Falcons fan here and I’m convinced Bill Belichick sold his soul. It seemed like God was rooting for the Patriots in the 2nd half

I might be the most sad about how Julio’s catch means nothing now

SubZero man I gotta say as dire as situations are right now for you and your people that is a hilarious comment. My uncle has been routing for the Falcons all year and I got to see him go from straight up euphoric glow to a lifeless mass here towards the end. But hey your teams young and skilled so maybe you’ll win next year. If Brady retires.

Hahah appreciate the support. I’m not even from Atlanta, I just started liking them when I got NFL Street 2 and been a fan ever since. I’m just trying to appreciate the fact that we actually made the Super Bowl as unlikely as it seemed, we lost on one of the luckiest plays I’ve ever seen (and bad playcalling), and our best defensive players are rookies or 2nd year guys

Yeah you’re a Thunder fan too right. Jim Mora and Mike Vick is like the real life version of Jamie Foxx and Al Pacino in Any Given Sunday. Crazy to think that in 2004 the Champs were the Patriots.

It cracked me up how awkward the Lombardi Trophy exchange between Robert Kraft and Roger Goodell was..  After Goodell finshed his speech Kraft just gave him that "Ya.. Whatever Motherf**cker" look and grabbed the trophy..

Dammit Bill Bellichick made a deal with Beelzebub because their is no explanation for this madness…

Amazing sports year and couple months, arguably some of the biggest stories and best games ever.

Ncaa Mens Basketball – Villanova beats North Carloina on buzzer beater three to win the championship

Nba Finals- Cavs come back from a 3-1 deficit to beat the 73- 9 Warriors  in a classic game 7.

Major league Baseball- Cubs come back from a 3-1 deficit to beat the Indians in classic game 7 to win first World Series in 108 years

Ncaa Footbal- Clemson beats the Alabama dynasty on a last seond touchdown to win the championship

NFL – Patriots come back from 25 points down to beat the Falcons in the 1st Overtime Superbowl game.

It’s been an amazing year of championship games. As someone that hates both teams from last night, I was still able to enjoy it thanks to how good of a game it was.

    Still hate them though 🙂

Honestly say what you want about the Patriots, hate Tom Brady, hate the city of Boston, but one thing you can’t say is that these guys don’t bring the entertainment. The Patriots under this regime have been to 7 Superbowls, and they are all instant classics that came down to the last play, and the last two being arguably the greatest SuperBowl games ever played. Cue Kurt Russle from Gladiator, ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED! Because that’s what sports is all about.

It’s moments like this that I point to when people tell me they hate sports and don’t understand why I taken them so seriously.

    1. I look at it from a stategic perspective, and just love watching these guys compete. That Jones catch had my jaw on the floor, and then that Edelman miracle (I won’t even call it a catch) had my tounge rolling out of my head like I was jim Carry in the Mask when he saw Cameron Diaz lol

    2. I look at it from a psycological perspective. This is the biggest moment in these guys life, and I get to watch first hand how they deal with that pressure, and that advercity. I love when a no name player steps up as all the stars around him come crashing down. James White and Malcolm Mitchell taking the game over in the 2nd half, and the defensive ends for the Falcons all game really showed their heart today. And how can you not mention tom Brady? What heart and determineation.

    3. It unites people who have no reason or purpose to be united. I take pride in where I’m from, and the teams that represent my city and my birthplace. I live in Connecticut, and sports is how I still connect with my stomping ground and my family over there. This game gave us all so much pride, Boston Strong, and so many kids growing up in Boston will know that if you work hard and stay focused "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLEEE" (KG)

It was compelling theater for all the reasons stated. Brady’s fifth ring, the huge comeback, and the first OT in Super Bowl history.

As a game, however, it wasn’t particularly great. It was one team playing poorly followed by the other team playing poorly. The actual quality of play didn’t make for a strong, competitive game. Hats off to Brady and the Patriots, but I’m struggling to call it a great game.

    Brady is one lucky mofo

3 of his 5 rings were lucky as hell. The tuck rule vs the raiders which has been undeniably proven to have been the wrong call since Brady brought his left hand back to the ball and was touching ball with both hands down by his waist before Woodson got the strip. Not to mention it was called fumble live meaning review can only be reversed if there is indisputable evidence the call was wrong which in reality there is only indisputable evidence it was called correctly, just baffling how that was gifted to him.

Then you got Pete carrol calling a pass from inside the 1 yd line with beast mode at his disposal plenty of time and a timeout if they don’t get in. One of the worst coaching calls in football history.

Then the falcons completing one of greatest choke jobs in sports history giving up 25 point lead with 18 minutes remaining including not running when inside field goal range and with an 8 point lead only to give up a sack and get pushed back and then move outside of fg range.

    Brady most overrated athlete ever.

Eh say what you will, but at the end of the day Brady still has 4 game winning drives in the Super Bowl, and that is clutch. I really don’t understand why people hate Brady so much, and all these excuses people make are childish. Are we really going to call making a field goal luck? The Pats take advantage of other teams miscues, and they should be rewarded for that, and they have been.

The only legit argument against Brady is that Bill Belichick is his coach, and he’s arguably the greatest coach in the history of American sports (imo, when you take into account how tight footballs salary cap is). Belichicks system is great, but so is Brady, and because of him it allows the coach to do whatever he wants. It’s a symbiotic relationship.

I mean jesus we sit here and talk about how LeBron has no help with Irving, Love, Korver, and Thompson playing with him, yet forget that Brady literally just won the SuperBowl with cast aways (Hogan, Blount, Lewis, Amendola) and middle draft picks (Mitchell 4th round, Edelman 6th round, White 4th round) and the only first round pick on the entire offense is the LT Solder. Come on. Give credit where credit is due.

I would get this arguement if Brady and the Pats haven’t been dominating for nearly two decades now. It’s been 16 years, you aren’t a top 4 team every year because of luck, and the only two staples during that run are the coach and quarterback.

Brady might not have the best arm, the best legs, the most accurate passes, but he’s still the GOAT. He’s the greatest QB to ever play not because of the stats (he dominates them all), the single season records, playoff success, or any of that. He’s the GOAT because he literally strikes fear in the hearts of the opposing team. Because the team accross from him usually lost the game before they even stepped on the field. He’s the GOAT because like Matt Ryan said after the game when asked about over time he said "I just untied my laces and watched Tom like the rest of you."

The amount of respecct he commands is unreal. It’s a shame most fans don’t give him his due.
