bballdave3ParticipantCurious who everyone thinks the best pg projected to go second round will be? Guys like Darren Collison and Toney Douglas seem to be projected as early second rounders but I feel Tyrese Rice can easily be a Will Bynum type in the league who will find a niche in the league as a good scoring punch off the bench. But theres still a lotta questions with guys like Curtis Jerrels the French dude Beaubois, and AJ price. But just curious if anyone thinks there’s any Moe Williams or Ramon Sessions comin out of this years draft?

gatorheelsParticipantNick Calathes without a doubt. He will be a great pro. He may be a 1st round pick though.

BlackMamba24ParticipantNick Calathes is like all the other UF point guards, he is going overseas to play pro ball…..He can team up with Christian Dreyer. He signed with elite Euroleague champion Panathinaikos.

gatorheelsParticipantCalathes is still in the draft though. A team just has to buyout his contract from the Euro team.

piratejpParticipantPatty Mills, Pargo & De Colo are a few others that will go in the 2nd that might pan out. Those three, Collison & Beaubouis are the most likely to be productive 2nd rounders in my mind. Don’t really hate Price, Calathes or Jurrels either, just don’t like their prospects quite as much. With all the PGs in the first & this batch in the second, I can’t help but think that some of them are going to slip a little and there will be some teams that get a good player late.

piratejpParticipantEach of their success depends in large part on the situation they find themselves in.
A good player in a bad situation equals short career most likely, or at least a few years of redeeming yourself somehow before anyone gives you another shot. It’ll be interesting to see who goes where – I think we’ll have a much easier time guessing chances of success once we know that.
