BlueRivers25ParticipantMonta Ellis hands down.
Steph Curry close 2nd.
Any others worth consideration?0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/21/2013 - 3:06pm #765073
llperezToo early to nominate curry since this is the first year he was in the all-star discussion and not injured. he’ll get in soon enough.

220ParticipantIf the OP would have said the best active player not to make an all star team then Monta Ellis would be right there at the top with Josh Smith.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/21/2013 - 3:14pm #765072
alingeParticipantDrazen Petrovic by a long way, followed by Orlando Woolridge, Byron Scott and Lamar Odom. No way can Ellis be in that group yet
0- Posted on: Sun, 04/21/2013 - 4:15pm #765103
BenchWarmerParticipantPetrovic was a hell of a player and his life was cut short at age 28. But he only had two allstar worthy seasons. Id say Rod Strickland, who had quite a few allstar worthy seasons.

BigChamp12ParticipantMonta Ellis and Josh Smith….
They both have been snubbed numerous times0- Posted on: Sun, 04/21/2013 - 5:18pm #765125
cobi15ParticipantJosh Smith will never be an all star! Dude can’t think basketball! He is just an athlete who can’t go right and can’t make b ball decision!

llperezI’m not saying Derek Harper is the best to never make it. But when istarted watching in the early 90’s, I remember lots of media people saying he was the best to never make an all-star team.
0- Posted on: Sun, 04/21/2013 - 3:43pm #765088
llperezJust checked the stats and Harper had 7 straight seasons from ’86 to ’93 where he averaged between 16 and 20 points And about 7 assists per for some very solid Dallas maverick teams.

0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/21/2013 - 3:32pm #765082
NickWayne87Participantbut is always in a bad position to make it cuz he WAS in the west and there were too many guards on winning teams for him to make it and really the same has happened in milwaukee…..he SHOULD’VE made it by now but i wonder how long it’ll be before he does if he ever does…

WetalkinboutpracticeParticipantMarcus Camby
Especially when you consider guys like Brad Miller, Jamall Magloire and Zydrunas Ilgauskas made allstar teams during Camby’s time in the league.

R-Dot-13ParticipantAndre Miller has got to be in the discussion.
0- Posted on: Mon, 04/22/2013 - 5:17am #765232
phila9012Participantbasically symbolizes consistency in the NBA 14 and 7 for his 14 year career. I love Jameer Nelson, but if he was able to sneak in one year, I think Andre Miller should have been able to sneak in for 1 or 2 years at least.

fcb206ParticipantMonta Ellis can score, but my god, that dude is terrible. When he’s on fire, he fills it up, but on an off night he single handedly loses games. That’s not all star play if you ask me. Dude never met a shot he didn’t like. When you look at how much he takes off the table compared to what he brings to the table, the guy is league average. I’ll probably get negged to hell and back for saying this, but I don’t care. he’s really fun to watch if you catch league pass when he’s dialed, but on the nights where he’s laying more brick than an entire Masonry union there isn’t a more useless player in the entire league.Turnover prone, complete defensive liability and a loafer to boot, in the running for worst shot selection in NBA history. Might be my least favorite player in the league.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/21/2013 - 4:45pm #765112
LindseyParticipantIt’s funny how many guys there are who have averages of 18 6 and 4 or so for a career but are never really all start considerations, versus how many 1 time all stars with significantly less numbers but one season where they really sneak up on people….. or they play centre (Magloire here.)

frogmanParticipantOk people can stop saying Steph Curry and John Wall they’ve been in the league about 20 minutes they will get in. I agree with whoever said Richard Jefferson, Can’t believe he never made one in his prime Nets days.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/21/2013 - 6:06pm #765143
R-Dot-13ParticipantAlso, if we’re talking players in the league right now..
How about, Jason Terry, Nene and Kevin Martin?
And it doesn’t look like any of them ever will.0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/21/2013 - 7:52pm #765158
BigMac12111ParticipantMarcus Camby, Tony Kukoc, Drazen Petrovic, Ron Harper, Derek Harper, Rod Strickland, Orlando Woolridge, Mike Bibby, Sam Perkins, Andre Miller.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/21/2013 - 8:10pm #765160
Forte IVParticipantCurrent players. I’d say both Josh Smith and Al Jefferson.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/21/2013 - 8:30pm #765166
nick5354ParticipantAndre Miller for me. Anyone who is 10th on the list in assists, and not made an all star game is pretty stiff. Had a season where he averaged almost 17 and 11.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/22/2013 - 3:18am #765204
Jr. ROXASParticipantStephen Jackson when he was with GSW and Charlotte and i thought antonio davis could have made it when he was with carter and the raptors
