Kemba & Brandon have been the most consistent clutch college players, but who do you give the title to as most clutch?

From what I’ve seen Knight is a WINNER……First time I ever seen him play he was CLUTCH. Last year in the Mickey D’s Game with it on the line he hit the game winner. Game on the line vs Princeton = game winning lay up. Game on the line vs Ohio State clutch shot. This guy is a Winner.

Even though Brandon hit 2 gamewinners in 3 games in the tourney (we went CRAZY when he hit that shot last night), I just can’t see him doing what Kemba Walker is doing. You remember what he did in the Big East tournament? He destroyed every team that even thought could stop him. He’s the Kobe of college basketball

clutch is more about the last shot, its about doing it with around 2 minutes left. Other than those 2 shots Knight has been pretty bad this tournament, I mean he had like 9 points yesterday and like 2 against Princeton. Kemba is definetly more clutch.

Just because he did not put up 20+ that does not mean he is not clutch. If point total defines being clutch to you that’s plain crazy.

    Clutch =

    • 1. To grasp and hold tightly.
    • 2. To seize; snatch.
    • 3. A tight grasp.
    • 4. A tense, critical situation: came through in the clutch.
    • .adj. Informal
      1. Being or occurring in a tense or critical situation: won the championship by sinking a clutch shot.
      2. Tending to be successful in tense or critical situations: The coach relied on his clutch player.

No doubt about Kemba is the man in the clutch, but Knight has a case as well. Although he may not score throught the game he does it when it MATTERS most.

Both have been clutch, but for my money it’s Kemba because he’s having to do it all game. I like how Knight has come through when it matters most. I can never criticize that, but I think he has had a lot of help to get him to those critical moments. Last night both Liggins (who has improved tremendously) and Harrelson were pretty clutch in various critical moments of the game. They were making big plays especially defensively that kept UK in the game. Kemba makes big plays throughout the game and seems to come up big at the end as well. At least in the NCAA tourney I’m fine with someone saying Kemba is Kobe. So to me that would make Knight Robert Horry. Nothing wrong with that because some guys disappear and he would come up big when it mattered.

Playing bad in tournament games does make you look less clutch because every possession is important and these games are do or die which adds a lot of pressure. The way Knight finishes the games is crazy and i hope he can keep doing it but I would say Kemba is more clutch just because he plays great for the whole game and right now there is alot of tension and each game is critical. Plus hes hit his fair share of game winners.
