Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantIn your opinion, what’s the best AAU team of all time?
I’m a southern cali guy so I like:
’05 So-Cal All Stars
Taylor King
Daniel Hackett
Chase Budinger
Kevin Love
Brandon JenningsBut I can’t deny:
’05 Speice Indy Heat
Daequan Cook
Mike Conley
Eric Gordon
Greg Oden0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/29/2010 - 9:38pm #344049
OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantThat SoCal team is my favorite one of all time.
I don’t know if it’s 100% true or not, but I heard that Ron Artest, Lamar Odom, Erick Barkley, and Elton Brand all played on the same A.A.U team. That team just sounds wrong…

McDunkinSo-Cal All Stars
just about every year they had talent at all positions
Chase Budinger,Darrington Hobson,Malik Story,Renardo Sidney,James Keefe,Alex Jacobson and the Wear Twins have all suited up for so cal.
Even with all that talent they still played like a team
If i were to throw in a homer vote though, it would be for the Atlanta Celtics
Javaris Crittenton
Josh Smith
Dwight Howard
Randolph MorrisWeren’t exactly the most skilled team, but they were fun to watch

alexlilyugoParticipantthere were a couple of good teams like:
,,The Soliders” were lebron james kendrick perkins and leon powe played.
kobe and rip hamilton also played for thesame aau team
also d-wade ws on the same high school team with caron butler.
i also hear that the aau team with brandon rush, dj withe and CDR was pretty dominat.
but i am going with the ,,Spiece Indy Heat” who had greg oden, eric gordon, mike conley, josh mcroberts and daequan cook.0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 4:34am #344074

mikeyvthedonParticipantGreg Oden in HS was a beast. I mean, I got to see Kevin play for 4 years in the state tournament, and I do not think there was a player who could stop him his age group, but I think Greg would have given him real issues. Not to mention the Conley Jennings match-up would have been so much fun to watch, and when Eric Gordon played on that team with Derrick Rose in HS he was putting up like 28 a game. Kevin has trimmed down since high school, and people use to call him slow and lazy all of the time, even when he would put up like 30 and 20 with his always incredible outlet passes. But, I have seen few big guys in HS who had the tools Greg Oden did, he was just unstoppable. I heard Derrick Caracter used to do pretty well against him, but I think by the time Greg hit his junior year, he was tops. The fact is, that for whatever people say that he lacks, he is just a huge problem to defend. He is bigger and stronger than almost any person he goes up against, even in the NBA and that makes him very hard to go up against defensively and an utter chore to box out. Lets put it this way, when you have the ability to throw around Carlos Boozer like a rag doll, which I had seen Greg do a few times, than you are pretty damn strong. I think that is why even if he never even comes close to Kevin Durant, he is something that a team would really hope to have if they want to contend in the NBA. They just have to pray he stays healthy for maybe a season or 2, worked with Bill Walton, who had much less talent around him but was just an incredible player.
