     not really a surprise. I think the wolves should go after mayo at the 2 spot. Maybe overpay him a tad to come. With rubio as his pg he could push them to a play off spot.

    Honestly we are reaching the point that he is being way too overvalued. I like Batum more than the rest but he’s basically just an athletic role player. He’s in that Battier mode but is younger with more tools, but when you are talking about paying this guy 11+ mil it just doesn’t make sense to me. As much as he’s hyped to be a defensive stopper he’s just a good defender. Long arms and solid but often times lacks the lateral quickness to guard elite players. I haven’t seen him with consistency shut a man down like what you would assume from a defensive stopper. Offensively he shows glimpses of a jump shot and slashing ability but nothing special, in fact teams often switch their weakest defenders on him and he is unable to exploit them. I’ve seen Steve Nash switched on him for the majority of a game and him being unable to score. The truth is he’s a nice young role player but I think 7-8 mil a year is just value for him. Some are acting like he’s Rudy Gay with Luol Deng  defense. He’s a good athlete and role player but anything above 10 mil I think is overpaying for him. I’d rather save my money than throw it at him.

    Talk is of a sign and trade for Batum involving Derrick Williams and Webster who started his career there.. If I’m the wolves I wouldn’t give up both for Batum, though it could be a case of getting nothing of they match the offer .

    I want Batum on this team, but Derrick Williams for Batum is just insane.
