WizardofOzParticipantYeah I’m from D.C. too and I’ve been to Barry Farms a couple a times. I was born in D.C. but live in Maryland and I also know this widely-known playground in Baltimore but I forgot what it was called. It’s in NBA Street v3.

WizardofOzParticipantMy friend told me that he went to Rucker Park once and he said that you have to be good enough to be allowed to play there. So they watched him play, and they said he wasn’t good enough, so he had to leave lmao!

NarcParticipantThere’s the cage in NYC…I think that’s west 4th street in downtown NY. The only one I know about other than rucker that has the whole playground mystique.

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantI live about 20 minutes from N.Y.C, so if I ever get the guts to play ball at a place like the Cage or Rucker Park, I’ll be sure to just spot-up for jumpers and play tough defense so that I’m not taken out.

NarcParticipantA lot of good point guards have come out of the Oakland area…and take it from me I’m bragging for the west coast and I’m from NY. Guys like Gary Payton, Jason Kidd, and Baron Davis payed a lot of dues before making it to college on courts down there. The one time I went down there just to observe ( I got hurt and had surgery) and man do they ball hard…rest assured, you were leaving with a couple of scratches.

goneParticipantLol OJJ whenever you go to a new court and your not a “regular” they trynna press you on D to see if you sweet for it (turnover prone) and den they try to cross u up or post u but you gotta show em u can ball man!!

goneParticipant@Narc I heard bout the Oakland courts from NBA street but dont sleep on DC/MD we got players to KD Beasley Melo jus to name a few but i remeber alot of people were scared to play down berry farms back wen we had the highest murder rate plus we beat AND 1 every year lol

NarcParticipantI never balled in DC before….I went to rucker just to look and knew I wasn’t physically strong enough to ball with those cats (my knee has had it and I’m only 21)..but to OJJ you got to be just as physical to earn respect sometimes…they knock you down, knock them just as hard man. Basketball is about 60% psychological…if you let the guy know you can be just as rough, then 9/10 they’ll leave you alone

sc0rebuckets11Participantand wouldn’t say we have any real legendary courts, but we have really good comp here.
Most of the real legit talent don’t play outdoors.
There’s a really good pro-am league up in Durham (the one where John Wall dunked on Stackhouse), which looks like its gonna be nice for sometime. I saw Durant’s name on the roster, so that should be interesting.
I played with & against John Wall before. His strides are ridiculous. I’ve played with PJ tucker before. Seen the Helicopter poster people with ease.
There’s a lot of up&coming players in NC that you’re gonna hear about or are starting to hear about now.

TRC1991ParticipantI’m from a city 25 minutes east of Seattle and to be honest I dont go to Seattle often (traffic is miserable) enough to know the names of any courts
