Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantGunnin for that #1 Spot is pretty sweet.
So is Sonicsgate: Requiem for a Team; it’s on YouTube.
If you guys have Netflix, a lot of the 30 for 30 docs are on there.

evantomesParticipantOnce Brothers was good.
Does anyone remember ESPN’s SportsCentury’s? I thought they were better than 30 for 30s. Connie Hawkins, Maurice Stokes, Bevo Francis were very good.

Jayhawks2011ParticipantHe Got Game. It profiles Ray Allens recruitment to Uconn.

Jester87ParticipantIt’s not a documentary and it has nothing to do with Ray Allen’s real story. Ray Allen is a military child coming from a nice family, Jesus Shuttleworth’s father was in jail because he had murdered his wife and Jesus was considering declaring for the Nba draft to lift his family out of poverty.

phila9012ParticipantThat documentary was great. Linsanity was probably my favorite moment in sports in my life. (I am 20) From the first game I was a fan of his, I had loosely followed his NBA career after he out played John Wall in the summer league game. I had no idea that he was capable of being the player he is. To me, I think all of us would love to say for one day we played in MSG and wowed the crowd, and he did that, the first few games were truely special to watch, he earned what he got and he took advantage of the moment. I don’t think we will ever see a story that great in sports in our life times.

Jester87ParticipantOnce Brothers is probably my favorite one, very touching story. Without Bias and A Courtship of Rivals also very good. Since no one named it I suggest Unguarded, it’s about Chris Herren, a top recruit in the early 90’s who struggled with drug addiction during his college and pro career and almost died of heroin overdose.

dcaseParticipantThree must see documentaries that have not been mentioned:1. ‘Unguarded’ – Is about Chris Herren and his battle with drug addiction. Although it isn’t technically a part of the 30 for 30 series, it is an ESPN film and probably my favorite basketball documentary.2. ‘The Street Stops Here’ – Is about Bob Hurley Sr. and St. Anthonys3. ‘Something to Cheer About’ – Is about the Crispus Attucks High School basketball team in the 1950’s, which included Oscar Robertson0 - Posted on: Tue, 01/28/2014 - 5:06am #865786
