truwizfan4ParticipantAs a wizards fan I’m stuck between Barnes and Beal. Beal has a good shot and he rebounds well but he is a small 2 guard . As for Barnes he can score very well has good size and a decent rebounder. So that brings me to this question who you think will have a better pro career?

cycloParticipantDraft Beal.
Barnes is just a taller Nick Young. You had Nick Young already.

For_Never_EverParticipantBarnes can really defend his position, unlike Nick Young who can’t denfend anyone in the DLeague. You’re comparing two completely different players.

PulseGlazerParticipantI don’t think Barnes is a 2. Trying to make him one could create a Wes Johnson situation (though obviously far less extremely bad).

ChewyParticipantis everything you would want in a 3, I don’t know why you would try to play him anywhere else. Personally I take Beal and never look back. You have Singelton, Vesley and Ariza who are collectivly "good enough" to hold you over until you find a long term fix.

For_Never_EverParticipantNick Young offensively is nasty, but his defence is so bad it takes away from all that, and makes him a risk to be on the floor. I would say they are opposite of each other. Barnes offense is the question mark for him. I do believe Barnes can score atleast 15ppg.

RapCityParticipantI would draft Beal. Both are extremely talented shooters, but when I look at Barnes I see a guy whose content being good and not great. His motor runs cold to often and has a tough time creating his own shot. (Proof is when Kendall Marshall went down in the tournament)
Beal on the other hand is tough as nails and you can just tell he just wants to ball. At Florida, he played with two undersized guard and had to play the 3 and playing in the SEC he had to matchup with guys like Gilchrist (UK) and Jeff Taylor (Vanderbilt) and still held his own.
Plus a Beal/Wall backcourt might even speed up Wall’s developement and could be something to look out for for at least a decade + change.

omphalosParticipantBefore the trade for Ariza I’d have gone with Barnes, but Beal is just the best fit now, and would give the Wizards solid depth at every position except PG (which isn’t really an issue).

EntropyParticipantNick young’s defense wasn’t that bad, he was actually a decent man to man defender.

akhan786ParticipantIf the Cavs stay where they are and Barnes and MKG are available who do you guys think the Cavs will pick?
It seems like the Cavs want MKG more now…
According to source the Cavaliers are locked in on Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Not to say CLE wouldn’t draft Brad Beal but prefer MKG to Barnes.

rhamnlacsonParticipantbarnes will fit the wizards system more perfectly specially since barmes plays better with a good pg he could work well with john wall

NickBParticipantBeal for sure. I believe he has a chance to maybe crack an all-star squad one day. Whereas Barnes sort of underwhelms me a bit. His best trait is scoring, and he doesn’t even do that very efficiently. There is nothing in his college production that suggests he will be a great NBA player. Whoever ends up drafting barnes better hope that his off-court intangibles make up for his on-court shortcomings.

ghettosermonParticipantYou have to go Beal, perfect compliment to Wall with a chance to blossom into a star for that team. Barnes will be good but would profile more as a complementary player for the Wizards with Wall being ball dominant. The one issue you have with Beal is height, but they have the wings in Ariza, Singleton, and Vesely who have the long wing span’s to compensate.
