TripBzParticipantDamn i miss the NBA… With that said how do you guys feel about the game? With the next couple of drafts seeming really loaded with talent and guys like Durant, LBJ, Rose and Howard holding it down in the leauge the NBA is looking great. What can some of you guys see happening in the future, breakout teams, players? Who gets better or worse?

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI think that, right now, the league is a PG dominated league with very weak bigs and 2s..
I can see this swinging in the next 5 to 10 years to a league that still has great PGs but also has good but not great bigs with more great wings..
The league wide talent will be on the rise to rival or even surpass the times of Hakeem, Magic, Larry, Michael, Sotcton, Malone, O’Neal, Hardaway, ect..

TallmanNYCParticipantIt is weird that the league does seem PG dominated and yet the Finals had two teams without a star PG. To explain, obviously the Heat don’t have a star PG and the Mavericks play J. Kidd who is well past his prime and JJ Barea who is at best an average NBA player. The Lakers were playing Fisher and Blake which you have to admit is not a good set of PGs. Chicago and Oklahoma have stud PGs, but they were both dismissed fairly easily by the Heat and Mavs.
I agree that there are a lot of great PGs in the league but I’m not sure that they dominate the league. I just think it is easier to find guys under 6′ 2" who can hoop versus finding guys taller than 6′ 9". It is just a numbers game. But since everyone has a decent PG (except the Heat and the Lakers), they all sort of cancel each other out. So the game still gets decided by dominating the paint and protecting the rim.

TripBzParticipantIm hoping that guys like Anthony Davis, Andre Drummond, Sullinger and Isiah Austin, really pan out. They seem like the best bigs i’ve seen in a while. Harrison Barnes and all these other combo fowards will be the only ones able to defend Lbj in the future, man the future is looking good for the NBA this lockout is BS!
