Wavy BagelsParticipantYea I checked out your stuff, man. You have a dope sound for hip-hop. You posted this in the infamous Jeremy Lin Facts thread. I don’t know if you saw, but I make beats as well. Check it out:

Kenny DominParticipantSuns president of basketball operations Lon Babby said the franchise had been gearing up for life without Nash for the past two years

ZYHEHEWAParticipantThe Edmonton Oilers have been mentioned the most on the hockey front, with the Sacramento Kings being the most mentioned NBA team. The Kings are the only NBA franchise that does not have punitive exit language in their arena deal with the city and after several failed attempts at securing a new building in Sacramento it’s commonly believed the Kings will be the team that moves next.

baozaokeParticipantOne of the biggest issues facing the team this season is what to do with Tyreke Evans, whose inability to consistently hit the three has been of such concern that he’s been on and off of the trading block. Smart still believes in Evans, and thinks he still has the ability to expand his game to the arch.

baozaokeParticipantSmart’s biggest challenge when he took over the Kings last year was to gain the trust of DeMarcus Cousins and help him grow into a player and a person who is a franchise cornerstone. That process got off to a great start last season, and Cousins seems to have taken the next step heading into the new season.p78979868

baozaokeParticipant“What I’ve tried to do, one, from talking to them all throughout training camp, is I’m looking for our team to develop, for our team to have the right kind of chemistry, which is going to help us win,” Smart said. “I used different lineups in camp. I said the goal for us is for our team to succeed more so than any of you individuals. We have to buy into that if we’re going to win, and you guys communicated to me that you want to win, it’s going to take an abundance of sacrifices for our team to have a great, winning season. You guys have to make a decision that that’s the way we’re going and you can handle it. If not, you know where my office is. You can come talk to me and say, ‘Hey Coach, I can’t handle this. Can you and Geoff do something to change my address?’”0[-890-8907

baozaokeParticipant“If it’s going to keep swelling up on me, that’s obviously not a way to go throughout an 82-game season and hopefully a long playoff run.”
The plan for now is for Nowitzki’s workload to be reduced over the next week with lots of icing and cautious conditioning.vsfd322323

baozaokeParticipantThis could also turn into a blessing in disguise for Nowitzki’s teammates, as playing without him will force them to step up and not get used to relying on or being bailed out by him. The Mavericks aren’t going to have the level of success they want by just riding Nowitzki, he’s going to need help from the likes of Darren Collison, O.J. Mayo, Chris Kaman and the rest of the team. The more confident and capable they are, the better the Mavericks’ chances of contending in the West are.ur6735635432

baozaokeParticipantOn the flip side, Martin’s camp couldn’t be happier. He was playing good soldier during preseason, but he had previously made no secret of the fact that he wanted no part of yet another rebuild, and landing in OKC puts him on the best team he has ever been on in his career. The fact that OKC also got promising rookie Jeremy Lamb in the deal is a testament to the brilliance of Thunder GM Sam Presti. The Thunder got a difference maker this year, as well as a potential replacement long-term should the team decide not to invest in Martin at the end of the season.;lhl7878

baozaokeParticipantEven though there is certainly a need at the position in Dallas, a roster spot is not guaranteed with the Mavericks. Dallas has already brought in Chris Douglas-Roberts and Melvin Ely to deal with the possible exodus of Delonte West. Carlisle was impressed with Curry’s offensive production, but admitted that some work still needs to be done on the defensive end.7575764

baozaokeParticipant“So a lot of players listen to me when I say something. I always tell a joke about it to the young guys, ‘You know what? It’s going to get better. Let’s just get better.’ If we’re talking and we’re about to go shoot, I’ll just say, ‘Let’s get better,’ and at the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about… There are 150 kids who get drafted and they’re good. They’re going to be ready to take your spot, so if you can’t improve as a player, you’re going to be lost in the wind.”jmfghdrty45

gsoenvaoParticipant“I can’t put it into words,” Green told HOOPSWORLD of the Celtics’ first preseason game, a 97-91 loss to Fenerbahçe in Istanbul on Oct. 5. “Just to be able to step foot back out on the basketball floor, at the time, it was the least of my worries, but to be able to come back and play again, it’s a blessing and I’m very, very thankful.”jhrf565445

gsoenvaoParticipantIt’s probably not a scenario that Harden’s camp will enjoy, going from a contender to a team that is in the beginning stages of a rebuild, but with his contract potentially making him a free agent next summer, he can explore other things if he doesn’t like what he hears from the Rockets.

gsoenvaoParticipant“I’m speechless,” Green said. “Every day I think about it, where I’ve come from. Last year at this time I was in China, I was working on my deal and getting ready to go to China, and that team ended up cutting me. It’s just crazy man. Every time I think about it, it’s just like, ‘Whoa.’ I did a complete 360 being there. It was like I turned around and I was different. Every time I talk about it, it’s crazy. I just never envisioned myself here, never.”hg3et434

gsoenvaoParticipant“Just being here with an Indiana Pacers jersey, it’s unbelievable,” Green said. “This is a really good fit for me; everybody is still young, we’re a playoff team, and I couldn’t be in a better place. Indiana is the home state of basketball and this organization is trying to change its image.980o76
