KiD MaGiC973ParticipantI Think the hawks need a backup point guard because flip murray is better as back up shooting guard

The8thDeadlySinParticipantTrue… They def could use a guard like teague but what do you think about a true center? I know hortford has done a great job there but I think he would be a better pf and smith a better sf. Maybe try to trade for thabette or trade their pick for a current center in the league. Maybe or maybe not??

Drewy111ParticipantHawks would lose to much by moving smith to sf and horford to pf mainly outside shooting and speed in transition, however if smith this offseason can further improve his 3 then I can see this working

canesboy6Participantgood point drewy. If I were the Hawks, I would invest in a young pg in that area that can backup Bibby and take him over in a year or two. Besides, they will be picking around 20 and PG will be the best value around then. I think Flynn is a little higher on these boards than he is in gm’s minds, I think he would be around then. Maybe Patty Mills, or some other fast paced point guard, and that team would be scary in transition. They could be like the Suns 3 years, but in the east. Imagine Ty Lawson or Flynn comming down that court with Joe Johnson on his left and Josh Smith on his right. The celtics will be comming down by then, and who knows whats goin on with the cavs, so them and Orlando could be duking it out for east supremacy.

cycloParticipantI have the Hawks taking Tyreke Evans and envision more lineups that utilize Joe Johnson at SF.
