kaceyParticipantMost of these guys declaring and not signing agents won’t really be going to many workouts. Between the deadline to withdraw date for these college guys and when NBA teams start getting serious about working prospects out there really isn’t much time. Last year, Jimmer Fredette was the only one who entered w/o an agent and worked out for about 3 teams before withdrawing. All of the other guys mostly worked out for the Rockets and that was about it. Plus, why would NBA teams want to waste money on the expenses to bring a guy in if all he wants is feedback?
These guys don’t have to enter the draft to get proper feedback do they? I’m sure it helps get their name out there a tad, but that can only do so much.

M-DYMESParticipantIDK bout that russell…
Given how many prospects may drop out, it may be in Gibbs best interest. Personally as a PITT fan I’d hate to see him go, but if a ton of talent stays and opts for the draft next year, he’s gonna have a hell of a time in the 2012 draft class. He’s a great shooter, but he is not ready to handle the PG position yet and odds are he won’t be maning up on D against the better SGs in the league. Solid shooter off the bench for sure, and if he enters this year, he has a much better chance of going higher in the draft with solid workouts.

JNixonParticipantProbably just wants to hear exactly what he needs to work on to be a successful NBA player. He’ll more than likely be back at Pitt next season.
