Say your a team trying to trade for Dwight and yo are offering a lottery pick , a star (not big star but like Joe Johnson level star), a role player/decent starter and a young guy with starter potential. They tell you if you take Arenas or Hedo the deal is done. Who so you take and why?

easily. His contract is worse but I think Hedo is not valuable anymore. He’s too slow, he struggled with his shot and creating like in the past, and he doesn’t play defense. I still give Gilbert the benefit of the doubt because when he was healthy and focused, he could flat out score. I think if Gilbert is accepting (and he would be if the team is going to be in the hunt for a championship) then he could give a solid 12-15 ppg

So basically Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh, Andris Biedrins, and G.S. 1st Rd pick?

I would say Arenas, he’s a better player than Hedo and he’s 3 years younger.

The Magic have to clean house and get what they can for Howard, but not right now. It’s not time to trade him. Howard is in the same situation LeBron was in, they made trades and got players to surround him with and it was a flawed and failed try. Now it’s time to wait for the right time and trade Howard then start over. Cleveland right now is in a great position to build on with 2 picks in the top 4 and assets to trade for rebuilding in some pretty good veterans. The Magic has to do the same thing before Howard walks and I think he will because he is in the same situation LeBron was.

So I think everybody goes and the Magic have to rebuild and start from scratch. Arenas and Hedo are untradeable right now too. You have to wait for the exact right time and deal, that’s what a great GM does.

 If I’m the Bulls I would take Gilbert, He could possibly become a 2 gaurd or come off the bench. I still think he has something left in the tank, remeber he was injured for what was it almost 3 years. It takes more than one season to get back into that playing shape, one of my old trainers when I played basketball always said that it takes just as much time to get back into shape that the injury lasted. So if I was injured for 2 weeks once I came back in another 2 weeks I would be back where I was before I was injured.

Gilbert still has a lot left in the tank, he just has to find the right place and Van Gundy has to let him play his game. Hedo has size, but is not aa very effective player nowadays. He doesnt shoot it as well as he used to, and his defense for some reason has become terrible. And during this season, he made terrible decisions with the ball in his hands.

If Orlando feel they cant resign Howard…Atlanta should make a play for Dwight..

Becuz the team they have now is STUCK in Neutral..Atlanta should offer Al Horford and Crawford for Dwight…

That seems like a fair trade..Orlando gets an all star big man and a quality shooting guard….

Arenas contract kind of makes it hard to deal him….

Word here in Orlando is the Magic will let J Richardson walk and start Arenas…

Lol, On the cool tho. Gilbert Is Just a better player. I think he still has some left in the tank. And with a team like Golden State he will excel due to his scoring abilities. And he was drafted By the warriors and played for them before too.
