Anthony Randolph.
He's not good, like at all. He did this a couple seasons ago, and I believe he did this last year as well. Don't you think at some point, the coaches would see it? He's a bench guy, that's about it.
sort of. i dont wanna start comparing him to tracy mcgrady but the guy puts up number per 36 min (career 17.5 and 10). from what i understand though hes just such a liability in help defense. i think the only way he gets his shot is in the right system playing SF. on a team like phoenix or his home town hornets he could really make an impact. right now hes just not ready though
Wolves fan here.. Games like tonight frustrate the hell out of me.. Beasely and Randolph have so much potential, but just do not bring it each night. That is what scares me about Perry Jones.. I see him possibly as another Anthony Randolph...
The last 3 games with Kevin Love injured he's actually showed his potential. 28 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks in 31 minutes, 69% shooting. Next game 16 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks 27 minutes. 58% shooting. Tonight 22 points, 11 rebounds and a block in 33 minutes. 50% shooting. If you look at his career when he actually plays consisten minutes, he produces. I don't know why he doesn't play more often but when he does, he produces. That's facts.
@Young.Money
EXACTLY. When Anthony Randolph plays, he Produces. That's why i never understood why coaches refuse to play him. Everytime he has gotten consistent minutes throughout his career, he has always produced.
I for one never gave up on Randolph. I truly believe that all he needs is an oppurtunity to play.
I totally agree with MattHoops...it's so unbelievably frustrating to have such a glut of promising PF's, yet the Wolves somehow manage to stifle all their talent (except Love, of course). If any of them had any consistency (I know they're all still only 22/23ish), they'd be absolutely excellent trade chips. But now, I bet the Wolves lose both Beasley and Randolph to FA, rather than trading one of them like they should have.
He's had good games the last 3 games. Which they all lost. Without Kevin Love of course.
they did play some tought opponents and they were losing with Love so that is not saying. He played well and they were in the game. Hopefully he goes to a team where he can get some decent minutes or possibly start.
Yes they lost again.. But since rubio went down the wolves have gone 4-16 I believe and they've been playinga brutal schedule... I agree with Young Money above. Whenever Randolph gets PT he produces, and he produces efficiently. What's really impressed me is the range/confidence on his jumper and the ability for him to shake his defender and create a shot or make a contested one. He really has moved well without the ball too, playing smart basketball the last three games.... Any team that is bold enough to let him start day in day out will get positive things from him.. He's playing better than Derrick Williams as of late, who has lost his shot the last couple days (they need to play him at the 3..), and gets blocked more than any player, for a guy who finishes below the rim so much he must get better at using his body to shield the defender from the ball....
He started to blow up and tease us a couple of seasons ago with GS at about the same time (late in the season)
I hope he does well and lives up to potential (just like ty thomas) but im just taking the bait....
boston would love a guy like this! if this ever were to happen, a lil work with KG he could possibly turn out to be a very serviceable player for C's post big 3 era!

I know, I Know. By this time, everybody has given up on "Anthony Randolph's Potential"
However! I haven't. The thing is, All he needs is an oppurtunity! A Chance to be able to play!
Anthony Randolph is already a very good player as it is right now. The only thing restraining him from producing is his lack of playing time. In his sophomore season, he played 22 minutes a game and averaged 11 points 6 rebounds while shooting 44% from the field. The following season when he was traded to the timberwolves, he played 20 minutes a game averaging 11.7 points 5 rebounds while shooting 50% from the field!
Here's another stat. In the 5 games that randolph has played over 20 minutes this season he has averaged 17 points and 5 rebounds a game and in all the games that he has played more than 15 minutes he has averaged 14.4 points a game! He has shot a career high 51% from the field this season. The only thing preventing Anthony Randolph in producing is the coach!
He had the perfect system under Don Nelson, however, he was placed in the dog house. Similar in New York. When he was traded to the T-Wolves last year, the Coach Actually Played Him and he Produced! However this year, with Rick Adelman coming, he has again lost playing time, especially with a team stacked with forwards (Love,Beasley,Williams,Johnson, Tolliver,Webster)
I have said this many times, and I'm gonna say it again: So Many Times all a player needs is to be given a chance, an oppurtunity to be able to play.
Look at players such as Tracy McGrady who developed into a superstar in Orlando, Even more recent, Jeremy Lin. And there are so much More.
All I'm Saying is, All Anthony Randolph needs is an oppurtunity. And i Guarantee, IF he is given one then he will produce turn into the player many expected him to become.
