 How does everyone feel James McAdoo moving ahead of Anthony Davis is the 2012 mock draft of this site?  How many people think that McAdoo will be drafted higher than Davis  and how many people think that that should be the case, as of right now? 

I think that Davis will get more minutes than McAdoo as a freshmen, and I think he will be drafted higher, due to his greater physical gifts and superior defensive prowess.  I prefer Davis as a prospect because I think that he will be seen as having a set position of PF in the NBA (I know many users of this site may disagree with me here, but I think he looks like a prototypical modern PF).

 I am impressed with McAdoo’s skill level, but I don’t think that he has the explosiveness or slashing ability of Derrick Williams or James Worthy, two players with whom he is often favorably compared with.  I like both Davis and McAdoo and think they are very safe bets to be top half of the lottery picks, but I think Davis’ higher upside and superior two way game make him the superior prospect.

I know it is very early, and that people’s opinions will change as Davis and McAdoo play college ball, but I think it would be interesting to see how everyone stands on this issue as of right now.

 I would take Anthony Davis, like u said he already has a set postion at PF with the ability to play the 3 if he continues to develope his perimiter game. But most likely he will end up a versitile 4 man. McAdoo will have to polish his perimter game most definately becuase he is undersized to plau the 4 at the highest level while also not being polished enough on the perimeter to play the 3. I really think McAdoo should stay 2 years just looking at how Marvin Williams ended up. McAdoo could prove me wrong and show a much different more polished game when the time comes to suit up 4 UNC this season. But as of right now ill take Davis. I also believe Davis will be the better long time prospect.
