Despite Damian Lillard having is best month, Anthony Davis has a chance to win his first rookie of the month in March with averages of 16.1 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks and a 55 FG% so far. The Hornets have four games remaining in March (Nuggets, Clippers, Heat and Cavs).

The crazy thing about these numbers is Davis only averaged 31 minutes per game in March, per 36 minutes that’s roughly 19 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks

Digging a little deeper into the March numbers, Davis is shooting 74% at the rim (5.4 attempts), 57% from 3 to 9 feet at 1.8 attempts (An area many All Star power forwards struggle to score in, e.g. Bosh, David Lee), then 71% from 10 – 15 feet on 0.9 attempts and unfortunately still only shooting 30% from outside 16 feet while taking 2.9 shots per game.

Check out this link for his 18 and 15 game against Memphis which ended in a rare New Orleans win and shows off Davis’s improving touch around the paint
